Do offroad GOAT modes matter if you don't have the Sasquatch package? Should you just use the four wheel drive?

You can use either or. They definitely help whether you have the Sasquatch package or not. The benefit of the GOAT modes is that the system will automatically adjust the driving dynamics of the vehicle to optimize for the driving conditions

If there aren't lockers nor disconnects, what adjustments do off-road modes make? I guess that's why I'm asking if I should bother with GOAT or just choose my four wheel drive mode. Thx...

Like I said you can just drive it in four high or low, but each goat mode will automatically adjust how the vehicle drives. If you are in Baja mode it puts you in four high but also drastically changes how the shifts happen. Rock crawl you have to put it in neutral first and it will go into 4 low, but again it changes how the vehicle drives. A Vehicle with less options has less changes, but still will change the transmission shift points and vehicle driving characteristics. goat modes just make decisions for you.

I have the Outer Banks. I have used them all except snow. I've been off-roading with you all in Moab and King of Hammer and Michigan. I'm off-road savy, sometimes I would use GOAT and others just switching four wheel drive. This made wonder if GOAT does anything for non-Sasquatch.

That is the same thing I do, a bit of each. The mode that really is noticeable is Baja. Gotta wind it up!
