Everyone has seen the big yellow 1/8 scale New Bright r/c Bronco available at Walmart. Well I just ran across this 1/10 scale New Bright Bronco. Wonder how easily the body can be modified to work on a hobby grade r/c chassis.

It's showing out of stock right now.

I don’t know but I need to get one and put it on my RedCat Gen8 or I’ll have to get the Axial SCX 10 III, and toss the wrangler top.

Is that Cactus Gray? Can't tell in that light. That interior looks horrible! Where's the saddlebag brown? Is that 'squatched? Where my white top? Does the front camera work with that bumper? For that matter, is that the capable bumper or the stock one from the Outer Banks? I don't like the beauty rings on the wheels, someone want to trade? Is the grill the same color as the door handles? Doesn't look like the mirrors don't match the fender flares.....

So someone on FB picked up the gray one and tried to put the body on a Traxxas TRX-4 and it's too small. From what I'm hearing the body on the yellow one is actually closer to 1/10 scale even though it's classified as 1/8 scale.

I'm willing to be Proline will make a body and you'll see one from Tamiya.

Oh the Tamiya one will be pricey but it would be very detailed, more fore a scale “correct” build. The Proline will be the route I’d go with I’m sure they will make several sizes to fit many models.

Yeah seems like the 1/10 and 1/8th scales are pretty close. A lot of them have interchangeable parts. Seems it usually comes down to wheel base.

I did a little digging and people are putting the yellow body on 1/10 hobby grade chassis. Takes some modification obviously. Search YouTube for New Bright Bronco.

Thats not "new" (to me) @ 1:10 scale its too small for most hobby grade chassis. It would be close on an MST though!

1/10 is the most popular scale for electric ,especially crawlers, moving up to 1/8 you start getting nitro in the mix.

Without posture, tone of voice and inflection and an understanding of each other, our hobbies, interets, and life experiences it can be challenging to know what we all know. (Or think we know)

#RunOnSentence

I'm fortunate to run the largest and only international scale modeling event in the US.

Please see: www.UltimateScaleTruckExpo.com
Facebook.com/UltimateScaleTruckExpo
Or Ultscaletruckexpo on IG
Do a search for USTE or UltimateScaleTruckExpo on YouTube for more hours of watching than you can imagine.

We had 7 countries in attendance for 2020 and although 2021 is looking great corona is throwing some of our International guests for a loop. We hosted over 22 vendors on site last year, and had over 500 guests.

To say I am well versed in "scale" RC and what is or is not 1:10 or 1:8 scale is an understatement.

Now you know where I'm coming from. If scale is your thing, we would love to have you down in February.

Since you are pretty deep in the r/c world I have a question. What online retailers usually have the best Black Friday sales??

I would think this is the same size as the New Brite Yellow one . My yellow one fit perfect on my RedCat Gen 7 . My avatar is it BTW

Super tough question!!!!! What are you looking for specifically? RPP Hobbies, or A Main hobbies comes to mind. RPP has loads of scale stuff and carries most all big brands (and some smaller stuff). I need more info to hone in on what's the "best". Which is only slightly subjective! haha

Something on the lines of an Arrma Granite. That's the range I'm looking for.

Quick look, tower hobbies is pretty good and they will almost certainly have some decent sales. 319 for BL 4x4, or 100 for 2wd brushed.

RPP doesn't seem to have but one option for the bl 4x4 in stock currently.
