Has anyone ever used Line-x on their suv/truck? Will you do it to your Bronco? Thoughts?

I live in Arizona and that line x truck looks great right now but give it time in the Arizona sun and the black will be a light grey color in no time.

I raptor lined the inside of the bed on my f150. After several years unprotected in the Texas sun, it might now have been sun-washed a little but definitely not grey.

I lined the CJ I had a while ago. It was the right decision and one of the best mods I did. Really made clean up easy, and sealed the tub nice for anti-rust purposes. One of the reasons I like the rubberized floor with drainplugs being offered. If you are doing a lot of top/door off or mud/sand driving, its nice to just turn the hose on the interior. Wet carpet and carpet backing tends to generate rust and mildew.

I hadn't thought of it before this, but I might have to consider linex-ing my bronco. especially if the color comes out not quite as I expected. That raptor in the video looks awesome and I can pick any color I want for the bronco... NICE! Their website claims UV durability though i'm sure sun fading will happen. I'm in mid-atlantic so maybe not as much as those of you in Arizona and Texas. I think it could also add a real toughness factor to the look of the bronco, which is already pretty tough. What does it cost to do the entire exterior of a vehicle like the bronco?

I don’t know what the cost for the exterior would be, but 16 years ago it was $1200 for me to do the interior. It cuts down your costs if you can do as much prep as possible on your own- which meant I pulled the roll bar, seats and console out of the CJ-8 and drove it to the contractor sitting on a bucket. One of the million incredibly dumb things I did in that vehicle... anyway they did the entire inner tub and up over the top of the side To the style line In the side, and the inside of the tail gate. I shot the herculiner do it your self on the half top but didn’t think it looked as nice- it felt more plastic to the touch than the professionally applied stuff.

Years later, my F150 came with the factory spray-in bed liner and that was nice too- a little fading but nothing terrible. Nothing slid around in the bed either (a pro or a con depending on what I was trying to do at the time).

I would carefully considerthe pros and cons before I did the exterior. I’ve seen that on a few jeeps and pickups (and one hummer) and I found that it looked a little rough. Yes it will be durable, but it ain’t coming off if you change your mind. I would want to see this in person on someone else’s truck before I did it to a new vehicle. Just my $.02

I agree. I would like to see it in person before deciding, because once you do it, that's it.

To do the whole exterior will run you from $3-$5k. And no changing your mind. Also going to be much harder to keep clean.

I linex'd the entire bed of my F350 (inside bed, under the bed etc.) when I had to rebuild it after a terrible Ford design for DPF rusted it out.

I put liner on a 93 FZJ80 Land Cruiser. Did the body in light tan then the roof in white to emulate the classic Land Cruiser. I already had clear coat failure on the factory paint, so something needed to be done. Looked good and worked great. Was fun to throw rocks at it if people asked if I liked the liner for off road and trail life, lol.
