I doubt i will ever need a winch, but the need for jumper cables is something I anticipate. If fact, I have had a set of Warn jumper cables for years. For those of you who have added a winch or high current accessory, how did you accomplish this? I purchased a QD with 6' leads and connected the negative to the body ground near the battery and I modified the cover on the positive terminal on the battery to accept the other lead. Previously, I had these on a '93 lifted Ranger SuperCab. If you have any suggestions on my install, feel free to comment.

Install looks good @AdventureTeam

I fabbed up a custom bracket for the front of the battery box and mounted a 500 Amp disconnect switch for my winch.

BTW - if you attached the positive lead to the last terminal on the adjacent side of the battery terminal posts (with an M5 nut) you wouldn’t need to modify the cover.

I use my Anderson connector for a air compressor I ran it through a 150A circuit breaker. I mounted it to the crash bar. The wife didn’t want to see it.

I looked at that terminal and what sketched me out was that 3 amp fuse at the end of the buss bar. So, I opted for the closest connection to the positive terminal. I think I will leave the QD lose and use vinyl paint protector under the connector to prevent wear on the paint. With all the salt that gets spread in PA during the winter, I doubt that the electrodes in the connector will last more than 3 years. I had to replace them often on my Ranger.
