Hey BN Thoughts on upgrade intercooler.
Im looking at Cobb or Misimoto

What do you guys think?

I have not seen anything suggesting the stock intercooler is problematic… Unless you’re needing to move the stock unit for a winch install, I would likely install a cold air intake before messing with an intercooler…

If a winch install requires moving the intercooler, an upgrade may be in order…

I installed the Cobb unit on my 2.7.
Thought it would be beneficial due to the ProCal’s increased boost that would help my engine produce its maximum output consistently along with keeping my intake temperature down. I also installed the one step cooler spark plugs to help prevent detonation. Cobb has great product information on this intercooler that shows all the temperature changes along with the reduction of internal flow resistance if you can believe them. Easy installation with no modifications needed.
The stock unit is a flimsy piece in comparison.
