I want to drive on the sand but I have zero clue how to and am nervous to break something or get stuck.

Would anyone be willing to come to Provincetown or even Sandy Neck with me and show me how to drive on the sand/dunes, air down, permit, safely park etc.? I’d be willing to pay for the service.

I just don’t want the first time I go to be with my teens in the car so hoping to learn the ropes first and assure we have a safe/good time.

Thanks!

Your already thinking right. By knowing there's a few things you need to do differently.
While I'm not familiar with the places you mentioned I can give you these simple ones for your first time out.
Air down.
Steady speed. Like there's an egg under the gas pedal.
No erratic change of direction.

You should start on flat and get the feel. Gradually add hills. In no time you will get the feel.

And don't be afraid of airing way down. I've come across stuck vehicle and letting out air, it drives out.

@Lots O Fords has some great advice. @lwebber2008, what Bronco do you have and its year?

Provincetown ORV permit: https://www.nps.gov/caco/planyourvisit/orv-permits.htm

Sandy Neck ORV permit: https://barnstablema.lynxlog.com/ndr/menu.php

Airing down: We have amazing sand dunes in Michigan, and this video by one of our friends may help you get an idea on airing down (and don't forget, you'll need to air back up after, so a compressor is necessary if the beaches by you don't have air stations.

We all will keep helping you remotely here, and maybe you will have a local pop up with some help too!
