I need help!!! I have a new 2024 Outer Banks, with an automatic trans. when I accelerate, I hear a rattling type of noise. The dealer says this is normal. but it bugs me. This is not in the engine; it sounds like something is loose. under the truck. Any help would be awesome.

Hey there! If you'd like, I can look into your concerns on my end. Just send us a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info!

Yah I’m with you, I hate spurious noises. Mine had a passenger seat vibration that Ford has a TSB fix. I did it myself to save the aggravation of “dealer day”. Another was an exhaust vibration on my Mustang that needed an adjustment. I’ve literally spent hours on my Bronco tightening stuff and setting push pins that the factory techs missed. Quality control isn’t a priority to Ford. And then you have to remember that your not buying a “Stradivarius”.
Good luck

Understand your frustration - Squeaks, rattles, etc are really annoying. Gotta say our '23 Wildtrek remains remarkably quite with 16,400 miles and dozens of Colorado off-roading adventures on some pretty rough trails.

Re-torqueing wheel lugs, fender flares and underside suspension, protection, exhaust, side steps, etc bolts may help. I usually get 1/4 to 1/2 turns on those 15mm -19mm bolts after a season here. Also, under hood checks for loose wire harness air intake, fuse box cover, hood prop rod, etc. could also reveal the culprit.

Cheers

Yeah, am thinking your's isn't a torque issue - Probably something very easy. Here's a pic of Bronco with rocker panel bolt without a nut. It was just setting in the panel's hole rattling around in the wind..
