I recently had my Ford Perimeter Plus Vehicle Security System reset after my battery replacement. When testing the system I informed the service tech that I was not receiving my app alerts. I called into Ford Pass support and was told it was decommissioned. I was advised by the customer service representative that feedback was being passed on. In case it is not, I'm writing to let y'all know that this is an important part of the feature. In today's society a car alarm going off is pretty much ignored, it was great to get the notification on your phone also. There is an increase in car break-ins here in Atlanta and I think in general. Please add the feature back to the Pass app.

If you ride around with your doors off or use the optional steel doors, you may want to look into getting this system. If the sensitivity is set properly it will alarm if somebody messes with anything inside your vehicle (with pressure) i.e... messing with your console or glove box or reaching into your cargo area or open your steel doors.

I haven’t checked it lately, but I reached into my 23 outer banks locked with the top off and the alarm went off…

I haven’t checked it lately, but I reached into my 23 outer banks locked with the top off and the alarm went off…

Check your Lux package and see if it come with Perimeter Plus pls.

Nothing about perimeter plus…

However, as I said, I can set it off by reaching into the rig locked…

You have it then, the standard is not perimeter.

I have had a couple of alerts in the three years Ive owned it. In both cases unlocking with the fob silenced the alarm. Never had an illicit entry, so both probably causes by the local tom cat climbing the hood…

In truth I don‘t give the alarm much thought. I’ve never had to be concerned about it where I live (semi-rural).
