My truck (600 miles) threw code p2240 today. Which is an O2 sensor code. Just wanted to get some feedback on what people this this could be and if this is just the truck recalibrating to some bolt-ons I've installed.
Flowmaster outlaw cat back exhaust
Mishimoto oil catch can
K&N air intake

**Update: dealership service center just confirmed a bad sensor. Wasn't anything anyone did. Thanks all**

With all that recent work, I would suspect that it’s:
1 - a simple fitting or gasket that is out of alignment causing the variance and thus triggering the code. If you did the work yourself, go back over all the connections and make sure there is nothing out of whack.

2 - If it was done by an independent shop, perhaps they can help diagnose.

3 - Worst case, take it to the dealer since it should be covered under warranty (unless they determine one of the mods caused it - see #1 above).

Good luck!

- 2023 Heritage Limited Edition / Robin’s Egg Blue / 4dr / (stolen from my dealer 11/15/23)

Thanks! I'll take a look at the MAF since It fit in the gasket kind of weird

Trying To Get Lost

That's an upstream O2 code. Did you knock the sensor loose or pinch a wire by chance? MAF is just sniffing the air coming in, generally wouldn't lead to an O2 code. If there's a large measurable difference between the bank 1 & 2 sensor, that's why this code is popping up. If the shop really struggled to get the exhaust loose, they could have - very slim chance - the wiring is loose or chafed. Just my $.02

I installed the exhaust myself and never came near the sensors.

Ford dealership just confirmed that the sensor was just bad and replaced.
