Cigarette lighter and 12v power. Help! I am pulling a small trailer in a parade next week and need some expertise on wattage and what I might be able to pull from the vehicle wattage wise. I will be hooking up a speaker, audio board and microphone and if possible I would like to utilize a 600w snow machine. This is for our small town Christmas parade. Any guidance is MUCH appreciated! Don't want to blow any fuses or kill my battery. I did test speaker and audio system with a 200w inverter that worked fantastically. My concern is adding the snow machine to the 12v AC outlet behind the drivers seat. I own a 2022 Big Bend. Thank you!!

What is the total current of all the devices you want to add?
The cigarette lighter (DC power point) is fused at 20A (I think, it’s hard to be sure).
But, certainly not more than that.

ETA: 20A at 12V is 240W, so you are never going to be able to power a 600W snow machine from it.
If you want to do this, you must run a heavy cable through an in-line fuse directly to the battery.

Actually you should only run a circuit up to 80% so it is more like 192W.

Could run an inverter off of the battery.
Some broncos also have a 110v receptacle on the back of the center console with a max of 400w which works out to about 3.63 amps. The 300W is about 2.72 amps.

From the manual page 145:
The vehicle provides up to 400 watts
when in park and up to 300 watts when in
drive mode. This wattage is divided between
multiple outlets when in use at the same
time
.

I’m guessing your snow machine has a surge wattage higher than the 600W you listed. An inverter would be your best bet would be something like:
THIS LINK that supports up to 750W surge. There are infinitely more options for an inverter that’s just one example.

Good Luck!!!

TANSTAAFL...
400W is 3.63A AT 120V.
It’s 10x that at 12V!

Plus, the inverter has it’s own inefficiencies, so you are looking at well over 40A at 12v DC.
