I am trying to see if the wiring is in behind the sunglass holder on the 2023 outer banks sasquatch package. Also does anyone have the Part number for the switches from ford?

There is a you tube video that covers this pretty thoroughly, and it seems its about a $1000 retrofit…

The subject of are the wire’s already there or not has been tossed around here for years, as has the question of fog light wiring when one orders the MOD bumper

To add to what @Bluestreak57 said, I've seen most people state that wiring for the switches is NOT already there. Wiring from under the hood to different access points does exist.

And also, yes, it's a pricey retrofit, but can be done. Over on B6G it's been laid out in a thread the things you need (ie. New fuse box, new wiring harness, switches, new plastic trim piece where switches go).

it can be done but you need the correct wire harness, the switch panel and the underhood fuse box

look up the you tube from Middleton Motorsports

These guys are correct. They won't be there. You can get it done for closer to $600 if you shop around the web for parts. I've laid it out here on how to do it, with pictures as well on a Google Drive. Middleton's video is good as well but doesn't discuss the need to program the new BCMC once installed.

i did this and there is no programming required

While you can use them just fine without programming the new BCMC, there is actually indeed programming required. Otherwise, your car will throw a big yellow BCMC error up in FRDS code for the technicians to see.

That's the last thing I want a Ford dealership seeing when I bring it in for warranty work, as you're creating potential grounds for them to deny any electrical related warranty claims you might require.

As an FYI, PTS, the system the Ford techs use for Workshop Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, etc. already has the following bulletin posted to alert them of folks swapping modules not intended for their car from the factory:

SSM 51536 2000-2024 Various Vehicles - Errors Caused By Swapping Modules From Like Vehicles Or Ordering Modules Using Another VIN
For 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.

Okay, so which module must be updated or programmed?

MIne is already installed? can it be programmed without removing the new one and replacing it with the old one first? or does the old one have to be reinstalled and read, then the other put in and programmed? Thanks in advance.....
When I installed it, I went by the Middleton Motorsports video and they said intially it would need to be programemd but trhen said said it didn't???

FDRS can program it if PMI was unsuccessful. Run BCMC Module Configuration (see photo).
