Thought this capless fuel inlet leak issue was resolved years ago?

I have not, but I'm guessing the referenced funnel is the one provided in the compartment inside the trunk bottom. Have you tried the recommended fix?

Yeah, have cleaned & ran OEM’s funnel in/out 20 rounds or more.. My code scanner’s saying 'operation error' and isn’t able to read or cancel code. So, we’ll see dealer tomorrow.

These 'Easy fill’ problems used to be frequent problem after Ford intro in 2007 - They’re back!

Update: Was able to clear this generic emission code and after driving with several shutdown stops, running thru car wash - No engine light alert!

So, I've cancelled our early morning dealership visit.

Our Bronco's Easy Fill wasn't really dirty, but occasional cleaning maybe good to avoid this drill in future..

I have a similar issue from time to time with my 2011 F150. I usually wipe it down real good, and put the funnel contraption in and out a bunch of times to trigger a reset of the engine light. The first time I had the issue, I watch a bunch of you tube videos and some of those made suggestions of cleaning it with WD40, but I never had to do that.

Kind of wish they would just go back to the regular gas cap. For the 2.3 seconds it saves you at fill-up, it seems to cause a lot of issues.

Yeah, Ford's 'Easy Fill' capless fuel inlet was very annoying in 2007+ model years. They soon added the 2nd entry flap presumably to keep the locking flap clean(er), but still seems more trouble.

I've noticed the steel spring on some fueling nozzles seem to catch on the Easy Fill when removing the nozzle. Am thinking there maybe some damage on the capless' rubber seal. So, pretty sure we'll re-visit this alert. I'll probably wait till we're due an oil change service to show the dealership folks this pic.
