Do you rotate your own tires? Do you do all 5 or just 4?
Here I walk you thru a 5 tire rotation and explain why you should!

Don't you need to retrain the tire pressure sensors for the new locations ?

You actually don't with the newer models. Ford locates sensor pick ups at each corner of the truck I believe, and each sensor only reads that TPMS. Where as old cars used a single pick up to gather all TPMS data.
That, or each sensor has its own "signature" and the truck just follows them around if they're moved.

Yes, according to the following sites https://www.ford.com/support/vehicl...co-individual-tire-pressure-monitoring-system and https://www.vehicleservicepros.com/...vice-tpms-diagnostics-in-the-2021-ford-bronco they are as @WuNgUn states.

I agree that the five tire rotation is doable and before the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) I would also do a five tire rotation when the vehicle's spare had the same wheel and tire size.

Thanks for clarification and the links. So glad Ford went this route!

I guess you plan on going with the same rubber when it comes time to replace the worn ones?
Those of us that opted for the Goodyears likely won't go that route again. Lol

Already know I'll be going with Coopers when the time comes. As long as they're the same size, I'll pay no attention to the rubber behind the cover, irrelevant...

I s'pose if you go with the same 315 metric size... Should be close enough. If you go with 35's, I wouldn't wanna travel too far with your spare on.

Yupper... Ford was gracious enough to provide one in the spare. What am I saying... Lol. We all paid for that sensor.
Pressure isn't actively monitored on the spare however, when it's mounted on the tailgate

First off thanks for doing this, I will be doing the 5 tire rotation. Here is a silly question why would it be a problem to drive on a spare that is slightly different size? I have driven lots of miles on a silly donut, over 100 miles, had too. And on the suburban it has a full sized spare but a wee bit smaller and an 18” wheel had to wait a week for the new Hankooks to come in. I don’t see an issue if the tire is only slightly smaller. Especially if it’s a full-size tire and not a donut.

It likely wouldn't cause an issue over short distances...
I think most people believe it causes unnecessary strain and wear on the diffs, which are meant for differentiating rotation from side to side in occasional situations, such as cornering and suspension articulation.
I remember a situation with a FWD car which had one wheel on the ground and the other wheel lifted, and the owner put it in drive and the noise from the diff sounded like it was full of gravel. In normal operation, it made no sounds
Was that normal or typical of a diff? I dunno... But I don't want my Bronco experiencing that!

Oh yeah that makes sense. Both vehicles I mentioned were 2WD and it was on the non drive wheels.

If I only had a Bronco to rotate tires on.... MY23 here I come. Sometime... not sure when... but maybe, one day my VIN will come and the 5 tires with it! =)
Nice to know the spare has a sensor.

I have the dealership rotate all 5 of mine when they change the oil. I tell them to put the valve stem on top on the spare when they mount it as it holds water.

You will be shopping for new tires 20% sooner. I guess I don't understand why anyone would NOT want to do a 5 tire rotation (other than ignorance, I mean).

It’s cheaper to buy 4 tires than 5. I believe in the end you will end up with the same cost per mile.

Myself, I plan on going with something different and will be buying 5 tires when these are used up, so it’s a 5 tire rotation for me.
