Wireless Apple Play?

Does anyone know if a 2021 Outer Banks Sport has wireless Apple Play? My daughter has a sport but not sure if that ability is there. I have it on my 2022 Badlands.

My parents just got one and theirs did not. Think they got a 22 BB. Has to have the upgraded equipment package I believe.

Did you connect the phone to the vehicle via Bluetooth? Wireless car play should work with that. If not just plug the phone into the USB port and it will work that way.

It will connect wireless but doesn’t give the option of wireless Apple Play. It does work connected with no problem though. In my new Badlands it connects wireless. Daughter was asking me if hers was able but so far I haven’t figured that part out. I will try to look more into it when I have time. It could be a setting in her phone or initial set up.

Unless she got the equipment package that has it, then it will not have wireless car play. It will have Bluetooth phone connectivity for calls, but it’s not going to be car play.

Bronco Sport has Sync 3 IIRC and doesn’t have wireless CarPlay. Full size Bronco has Sync 4 which is wireless CarPlay.

@RWhite You can get a wireless dongle to make it truely a wireless apple car play set up. Amazon has them, I use the ottocast. Mostly happy with it, from time to time I have to unplug/replug for it to play nice. Amazon.com: Ottocast It is small enough that it can tuck in right on top of the usb plug area in the lower storage compartment.
