The April issue of Car and Driver compares the above vehicles and ranks them The Bronco didn't come out on top. Don't think I'll back out on my order, though. :-)

No doubt the mazda is going to have better driving dynamics and be more luxurious. That's the trade off for a more off road focused suv like the bronco or jeep. I'm just confused at what the benchmark for the test was...off road capable small suv, or just best small suv. Sounds like it was the latter, which of course would go to the mazda.

That's a bogus article, 2 of the 3 are not made for luxury, they are geared towards off-road with the comforts of a smaller SUV.
That'd be like putting the Mazda up against a Cadillac or Lexus for luxury

I think the folks buying Bronco will use it more off road. They will likely shop Ford, Chevy and Jeep. The Bronco was rated higher than the Jeep. And yes, it was subjective. No standardized tests that all participated in except acceleration and braking and the Bronco did fine.

This is a bit of a bogus article. Why re-publish a review like this written over a year ago where the subject of the article is a pre-production model when production vehicles have been available for over three months. Maybe instead of digging up old article from Car & Driver, they could do a refresh of the article.
