I haven’t gotten a letter yet but I was informed by dealership letters will be going out soon about a 2022 ford bronco sport recall for the Oil Separator Valve. This is what’s causing the weird sputtering / fluttering noise everyone is talking about. Bring your car in ASAP!

Thanks for the heads up for all the Sport owners. My guess is it will pop up on your Ford pass app when it is issued. Hopefully that will fix the issue.

Yep,
We’ve already taken the wife’s in for that check up.
Hers was fine only took 10 or 20 minutes to inspect it.
But hers is a 21 so maybe something has changed or something.

Just picked up my 22 BL today! Built in March. Interested to see if all Sports are affected.

As of now my VIN does not trigger any recalls.

Same thing on my 2020 escape.

I have mine in today to replace the brake pads (Recall) and the oil separator. That recall (oil sep) was only for inspection and possible replacement. They also are adding all the missing hardware to the underbody air deflectors, checking my faulty intelligent liftgate button, and supposedly putting the engine cover and hood insulation on. The regional customer service manager is in contact with me and said the parts and repairs would happen.
I have also had the vehicle in for the passenger window regulator replacement since that cable broke. I look to see that becoming a recall item as well.
If this stuff does not get replaced they can take the vehicle back or I will trade it in at this point.

The black piece circled in ”Red” not the hose, is “the right hand air/ oil separator“ which could leak oil onto the engine. That is what the recall is for.
