Can someone tell me how to enable the Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking? It is grayed out when I view it, so I can't enable it.
There are some limitations (see below)
- 2023 Raptor / Shadow Black / MGV (DOB 8/30/23)
- 2023 Heritage Limited Edition / Robin’s Egg Blue / 4dr / (stolen from my dealer 11/15/23)

I envy you if you can turn off the collision assist. I could turn it off in my 2019 Ranger (sync4) but I can only turn it to low sensitivity in my 2022 Bronco Sport (Sync3)
I hate (in order)
Collision Assist
Auto start/stop
Easy Fuel (capless filler)

I’ll try to turn it off on the outer banks and see what happens. Actual experience……I’d rather it off, on interstate I was behind an 18-wheeler, so I go to get into passing lane to go around him, well it starts flashing collision alert and slowed me down, whilst changing lanes, car behind gets all pissy thinking I’m break checking him. Crazy incident to say the least. I did read there is separate levels of the collision alert, with increasing auto control according to speed and distance if I’m remembering correctly

I have found just the opposite… I enjoy having the car working with me to save me from myself and from others…
As with all technologies, they do take some getting sued too. I no longer pay any attention to auto stop/start, and I’m not sure I understand why not having a gas cap would be anything but a plus… Full disclosure, I spend most time in ECO
I live in a rural part of Texas just NW of San Antonio. There is an intersection on the highway near my house that has a left turn lane the intersection is at the top of a hill and on a slight curve. if someone is stopped in the left turn lane and the light is green, if you are trying to go through the intersection the crash avoidance will go nuts. Kinda scary and a tad dangerous.I was actually ready for it because It also did it in my 2020 Equinox and my 22 Silverado, so it is not only Fords.

Yeah, the camera and radar system can get confused…
