Hello all Bronco enthusiast, and aficionados. For anyone that is interested, the original Ford Bronco was penned by McKinley Thompson Jr. My Avatar is the original penned design of Mr. Thompson which is dated 8-20-1963. I use it to remember the greatness of automotive designers of the past. Mr. Thompson was also influential in the design on the original Ford Mustang, and GT-40. The most sought after cars ever in automotive history in the world. Meaning it brought stodgie old Ford out of the old school, and gave it the funds to beat GM. In this period of our nation, and our world, I would like to say to all of us that race, sex, ethnic group, etc. should not ever be in, and on anyone minds today. We are human beings with the ability to be wonderful and great in our selves and to each other. This original, and now the new BRONCO is living proof. Mr. Thompson retired from a great career at Ford Motor Company in 1984. He passed away away on March 5, 2006. He was born in Queens New York, November 8, 1922. He was the FIRST African-American designer that any of the Big Three hired, Ford being first. Yes FORD! Mr. Thompson delivered to America the original Ford Bronco. So to each of us Bronco fans out here, I wish that you remember McKinley, whom had this beautiful design, and gave it to America, to all enjoy. Rest in Peace McKinley Thompson Jr. Hope you inspire greatness, kindness, the freedom of adventure in us all.
Baja on! As Ford Spanked the competition in 1969, in the Baja 1000, NO OTHER AUTOMAKER HAS, replicated in 50 plus years
