Having been down the road of leveling kits and lifting vehicles.
Have learned to pay more and more attention to cause and effect.
Pretty much altering one thing affects another.
Getting height for bigger tires may be sacrificing another factor on the vehicle.

Looking at BRONCO SPORT leveling kits.
Have noticed atleast twice now
kits are ok for 1.5 trims/suspension
base, outer banks, big bend.
But
Not ok for 2.0 FE or Badlands.
*These having a seperate suspension than the others.
Which are already 1" higher

*Might tell us the other components, that may get affected by greater height,
are already at a safe functional limit on The FE and BADLANDS?

There will always be a limit to lifting without installing new parts somewhere.
Which maybe the greater challenge for anyone wanting higher than stock FE/Badlands?

At a dealership in so cal
Base model.
*this kit is actually adding height at all 4 corners.
Front = 1"
Rear = 3/4"
Tires 245-60-18 = 29.5" x 9.6"

That 1.5 has a good power band.
Drives strong. Good solid feeling with that set up. (imo)
Impression it could have been the only engine offered and most everyone would be satisfied.

The base has plastic shielding skidplates. Wonder the impact strength?
Scrape and slide rating please ;)...

Hard to pass by this nice ride
Waiting for april built date :)

Be patient, in time they'll have leveling kits for the Badlands and FE, probably a lot sooner than we expect

Are you starting a rumor? :D

Not thinking of lifting/alttering at this time.
Had lots of that in the past.
Went for Badlands because of how it comes from factory.

Why would you want to lift a vehicle that you still owe 10,000's of dollars on ?? Do you really think Ford will cover anything under a warranty if you install an after market lift kit?? All you are doing is giving the manufacturer an OUT of the factory warranty.

These are a brand new model … there will probably be some kind of tweek that will be needed. I would be very careful modifying a new Bronco without some kind of written assurance that it will not void the factory warranty.

Call me Tin foil hat wearing nut job but I'm overly cautious. It is nice to have a sync system that lets you start your ride remotely … But can't Ford also monitor your driving habits and 'live time' speed in order to tell if the brakes actually failed …. or you where driving 70mph in a 40 mph zone when the accident happened and the air bag deployed?

Well some folks buy things because they can individualize them.
Hobby project.
There is a thing called
Magnusson law.
It has something to do with aftermarket mods and dealership STILL having there resposibility with the vehicle.
That said I agree it's difficult to consider changing a brand new vehicle you just paid a bunch of money for or owe money on.
* that is why I opted for the Badlands because it already comes with an upgraded suspension. think it's a fantastic option. It's part of the reason I started this post. Then pointed out the differences in the suspension of the base suspension and the upper model.
Also it's interesting on the leveling kit that's just adding a puck or wedge in the stock suspension they have. Not necessarily upgrading it. Where possibly in the future they could have an upgrade say using the Badlands coils instead and maybe getting a performance upgrade along with the one-inch lift.

The suspensions are very different.
Even the compression rate of the shocks.
just bringing that out in discussion

I so see BOTH sides of this conversation. Well thought thru response, TrailReady. But also why I went "heavy" on ordering a Badlands Sasquatch... originally had OBX in my sights... but by the time you ADD all of the extras to get it where you want it... yup, cheaper in the long run and less of a hassle to just upgrade. But know there is a cross-section of folks who enjoy researching and swapping out equipment/components for personal preference. Learned this over the years buying new Harley Davidsons... "buy now, cry now". lol

What color?
What tires does it come with :)?
Like the included in warranty factor!
Like its how i want it off the lot!

Had loads of fun with other projects. But there were hassles and concerns altering new vehicle.

I'm even considering extended warranty. Looked into Ford premium care.
Waiting to get pricing on that.

I have recently attended the Texas offroadeo and drove a Bronco Sport Badlands. The vehicle is extremely capable off road but is limited by its clearance height and stock tires. Increasing the suspension by 1 - 2" and installing larger tires would make a world of difference. Is there any news of 3rd parties developing enhanced suspension kits?
