Does anyone notice their head lights humming after the vehicle is turned off? Is something wrong or is this normal??

I believe this has come up before and was determined to be normal. The headlights have cooling fans in them that hum for 5-10 minutes after shutting off.

Any thoughts on why my headlight fans will stay on for up to 2.5 hours after the engine is off? After they stop running, if i open a car door, the fans start up again. This is problematic when dispersed camping-- creating battery issues. Do the fans have timers that can be mitigated??
