I did not think of this when I ordered. Does the Bronco Sport come with some sort of Homelink garage opener?

Thanks. We have extras, do not a big deal. I have just had Homelink for the past 3 cars! Even my 2001 Quest had one.

Have the home link on our suburban but it is not compatible with our garage door opener I have a pretty fancy opener too. Still have to have the clicker on the visor.

Along with the Homelink feature, the other two "creature comforts" I've noticed "missing" on our Sport are drivers seat memory settings and a tailgate automatic closing button. All three are nice conveniences but certainly not the end of the world not having them. The tailgate does allow the window to open on its own, which is a great improvement over our 2017 Escape. We love our OBX, it has met all of our expectations and then some over the first month!

I also have a 2017 Escape! I have loved the luxuries, but super excited for my BS.

Dang! I haven't seen my garage door opener in years. Guess I better find it before my BS Badlands arrives.

Hey the home link in my new equinox works the garage door opener. So we kicked the suburban out. Now the garage has a new resident, until the Bronco gets here. Might have to clean out the other two bays so we can all park in the garage. LOL.

Is it confirmed to not be compatible? I had a hell of a time getting my trucks to sync their home link systems with my opener due to the rolling codes. In the end, I had to teach a portable opener trigger from the garage unit itself, and then use the signal from the portable trigger to teach each vehicle and it worked like a charm. None of the online tutorials set it up this way and I spent a few very aggravated days trying to get it done.

You can buy a used
homelink off of eBay for $30-40 . Just find a spot and connect power/ground.

I stole my daughter's opener. She can use the one on the wall outside or use a key on the front door. ;)

Seems like each vehicle is different. Plus every gate opener or garage door opener is different. You will just have to get it to see if it works or not.

This was the biggest thing that irritated me about homelink! Same thing on my Chevy it didn’t work with my brand new garage door opener. So I’m glad it doesn’t come on the bronco as I have a keypad on the side of my garage door to open it when I don’t have a clicker. Or I’ll lock the clicker in the glove box like I did when I left the vette with the top off.

I’ll ask the question again. What did you do to try connecting it? Per my post above, it took a lot of effort for me to connect mine until I tried doing something that none of the manufacturers recommend for setup.

I tried everything in the owners manual and tried everything I found on Google for different ways to get around it. Nothing worked because I guess I had too new of an opener and they wanted me to buy some additional transmitter for my opener so it would read the old homelink code. Would have cost me more than I wanted to pay so I said screw it. Bought a keypad for my garage and never looked back lol

Yeah, that’s the exact same thing that happened to me. None of the online videos or instructions helped. This was my last ditch effort - teaching the clicker and then using the clicker to teach my vehicles - and it worked immediately. I was so pissed off at that point that I feel the need to preach my lesson learned to anyone going through the same thing.
