Disabling V8 Noise Synth

Which fuse do I need to yank in order to disable the V8 noise synthesizer in the Bronco Sport?

I would think it is a setting in the Sync 4 system you can turn off. If not I am sure there is a tuner that can fix it.

It does sound pretty fake.

I actually think it's pretty convincing. I test drove a 1.5L Outer Banks, and then a 2.0L Badlands, and the Badlands just feels like way more car. But now that I know it's because of the fake engine noise, the jig is up and I'd rather have a quieter cabin.

The Bronco Sport has Sync 3 :( Only the Big Bronco will have Sync 4.

Motor Trend is saying you need to pull a fuse to disable the noise. They also say it's generated using the same tech that typically cancels out engine noise, so if there's a mod for doing that would be amazing!

Ford's original motivation for piping louder engine noise into the cabin was to allow drivers to perceive engine speed without looking at gauges when maneuvering off road. Therefore it was only going to be activated in the most intense off-road modes (Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl). But when the team so effectively nailed the V-8 noise, more enthusiastic heads prevailed upon the powers that be to engage the sound enhancement in the on-road Sport mode as well.

Ah, so after re-reading that, it sounds like it will only be activated in mud/ruts, rock crawl and sport mode, but not in normal or eco modes.

Ford should allow us to upload our own engine sounds for the effects we want or even sell them like phone ringtones. I mean we could have:

Jet engine (AKA - Top Gun Mode)
Nascar ("Let's go racing")
VW Dune Buggy (Retro-Baja Mode)
Raptor (Not the engine, the Dinosaur. Outback mode)
Shopping Cart with Squeaky and Wobbly Wheel (Mall Crawl Mode)
Hamster Wheel (Eco Mode)
Dog Team (Winter Mode)

I rented a Mustang in Florida pre-COVID imprisonment. It had something wrong with the speaker and made this terrible crackling sound. I had to turn it off! The setting was in the sync menu. I much prefer my BMW M-Car set-up that actually pipes in the real engine sounds to the interior in Sport setting (because the interior is darn quiet even when I am abusing the throttle pedal!). But it is a twin-turbo V8 churning kicking out over 600HP, so no synthesized sound is required!

Seriously? I've had my BS for a week and a half, and apparently I'm boring as I've just driven it in "normal" mode. If I go to sport mode it wounds like a V8 inside? You have GOT to be kidding me.
