I have a 2021 BS and at my free oil change-thank you SW Ford for your 2 year Service Promise, I was told it was time to change out the cabin air filter. FYI-The cabin air filter is the same in all models of the Bronco Sport 2021-2024. I am just over 22,000 miles and it was time to change it out. I will say it was a bit dirty. Instead of letting the dealer do it, I told them I would handle it. It was not too hard honestly. The tabs are easy to push in to lower the glove box down. To undo the glove box support is a little harder the very first time. You might need a screwdriver to help get it off the first time. It took a little more effort than expected to get it to come loose. Once loose, changing out the filter was easy. Just make sure you install the new air filter with the same directional air flow. The air flow points down. I was surprised at how easy it was. Not too bad for someone mechanically challenged 😂 ! I bought one from Amazon and it was actually sturdier than the OEM one. The price was $11.99 on Amazon. There is KN filter option for $44. Maybe this helps someone!

Please let us know the retailer for the k and n filter. I recently purchased a Big Bend and the lowest price I could find for the model 33-3131 KN was $60.99.
Thank you and thanks for the video!

Prices have gone up!!! On Amazon, there are the KN knock-off washable filters available that might be worth trying.

This is a good post- unlike in many vehicles, replacing the cabin air filter in this one is ridiculously easy!! Many shops will charge around $100 for this service because it is manhour intensive in most vehicles. Grab the filter from your local autoparts shop and do this yourself in 10 minutes even if you've never done it before!

As far as what filter to buy, I get the paper filters still. I tried the K&N for one oil change period, and honestly I decided against using the K&N filters in my vehicle for a couple reasons:

1) the filter requires a little bit of oil on the filter for it to be effective. I don't really want this in my cabin or in my engine. Though rare, there are reliable reports of people having issues over time with their mass air flow sensor when using the engine air filters. If you plan to resell your vehicle in several years, maybe this isn't a concern for you.

2) The K&N does give you a little bit more power as advertised, but they do this by filtering out a little bit less of the smaller particles. Those very fine particles are the ones I don't want to breathe (either with my lungs or in my engine). I happen to live in a place that gets very dusty, so I want all of the filtration I can get.

The cost of someone else doing this is way too much for as simple as the installation is. I am with you on the KN filters as well. The paper filters work nicely and in my opinion, more cost effective. Thanks for your input!! Hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!
