Yesterday I got my first towing adventure with my Big Bend and the 1.5 Three Cylinder motor. Pulling was no speed demon, acceleration from a stop was acceptable with slightly more foot throttle, and keeping up with traffic easy and acceptable. The trailer was a single axle landscape type with wooden floors 6'+ wide and 12'ish long. The trailer weighed something like 850-900 pounds and the mower I was hauling (from their info) was with mower and fuel, 776 lb. It was riding all the way forward on the trailer and consequently the weight more in front of the axle. This gave it the max tounge weight but the total weight I was pulling was 1,676 pounds aproximately. Wouldn't want to go across country, though I could, but locally and beyond, no problem. I was satisfied it was suitable for urban and highway traffic. I will mention that with the load not centered as I would of liked in relationship to the axle, I had the front of the Big Bend pointing a bit skyward. Again, proper load distribution would of made that moot. It would of aimed proper....
Note: this pic is picture-stock, not my actual, rather what I had done ie mower/trailer.
