Back up camera blackout

Enjoyed today's 24 -8 win over KC!! Haven't seen our back up camera fail, but the Nav pretty frequently needs a restart. Keep us posted on your camera service..

I imagine you're referencing my tag name? ( I realized the implication afterwards) I have an orange Bronco. I'm not a Broncos fan but I do love the old uniforms and helmets. I was a Raider fan my whole life until this year, but now I route for everybody to beat them because I've just had enough with their enept ownership and going to vegas. Nice to see your team humble the chiefs!

LOL - Sorry for my confusion! Yeah, dem '70s Orange Crush Denver Broncos & da Raiders had some fabulous, really hard fought games!! IMO, those were the NFL's golden years with season after season of continuous rivalries that filled the seats, hogged TV ratings - Drove fans CRAZY! Obviously, salary caps, free agency, politics, etc have gutted alot of that success, but still fun!

I almost never look at the dash while backing, but at my mirrors. Guess I'm old school, but likely wouldn't notice if this happened.

Ever since the latest update I occasionally have a back up screen blackout. The animated top view of the Bronco is displayed on the screen when backing up but the rest of the screen is black. Putting it in drive then back in reverse seems to fix it. Anybody else experiencing this? Seems like manufacturers have a lot of power to Sabatoge our vehicles post purchase.

I have the same. Updates don't seem to get tested well.

I haven't looked, but is there a way to stop auto backups? I now have 3 tickets with issues. I would like to stop auto updates so I can check here 1st.

Yeah, me too thing is features on a new vehicle should actually work.

I've had it happen a handful of times. Although, I *think* in my case, it's the opposite? If I'm remembering correctly, I'll put it in reverse, the backup camera will come on the screen, but then when I put it into drive the screen is black. Quickly putting it in reverse and then back into drive at the next stop light is what fixes it for me. It's happened so few times and I figured out the fix so quickly, that I haven't bothered trying to get it diagnosed.

Happened for the first time to me today, put it in drive and the backup image stayed on the screen, eventually the system rebooted its self and then back to normal although that took several minutes.. I dunno...💁

Yeah, our screen needs a re-start every now & then too. Happy our Bronco is A LOT more reliable then some it's computer modules..

I use the mirrors BUT the camera automatically kicks in when backing up and there's a VERY loud amd obnoxious audible distortion through the speakers when the camera or sensors alert.
