I have a 2021 Bronco sport when it had just under 60k miles started getting a warning coming up stating hill assist disabled and then the orange wrench stating Powertrain malfunction/ Reduced power. So now my vehicle won't shift info AWD. When I brought it in the the local dealer they informed me they need to replace the All wheel drive module and it is not covered under the powertrain warranty. The price they quoted as $1,235.00 to repair. Needless to say I am more than a little irritated with Ford. From what I've seen this is a known problem with the ground going bad in these and them needing to be replaced. There was a customer satisfaction program for these but my VIN was not included in that program. But the explanation was since it is not an internally lubricated part it is not part of the warranty. I did call the Ford corporate office and they stated that it is up to the dealership to determine what is under warranty and what is not. Has anyone else had any luck with getting this repair covered outside of the bumper to bumper warranty?

Hi there. I’d like to assist with your concern. Could you please send us a DM with your VIN and mileage so I can look into this further?

Have the same exact issue, had extended Premium Care but of course 3k miles over the bumper to bumper. They are quoting me the $1235 as well. Biggest thing that frustrates me, had something similar before and its because the battery was draining which they said the fixed by updating software and replacing the battery. My VIN is also not included in the program, which is interesting since this is such a known issue with the Bronco. Have read up on faulty Body Control Modules, AWD Modules, etc...
