2021 Bronco Sport Badlands
Audio Question
I have had by Badlands since March of 2021. I’m a bit old school, maybe stuck in the past. I have been trying to find out a way to connect my portable CD Player so that it plays through the B&O Audio system in the Bronco. I have tried connecting it, by aux cable(s), to either of the ports. I have talked with the Ford Dealership that services my vehicle. The 1st conversation my Service Supervisor said it was possible, let’s go try it out. I didn’t have my CD Player with me at that time so no luck. The next time I serviced my Bronco at the same dealership I had a different Service Supervisor and the end result was – “it is not possible”. I had the CD Player and all the cords with me. I have also purchased Bluetooth device to attach to my CD Player (seemed like a good idea). My Bronco could not, would not & did not recognize the device.
Any Thoughts? Thanks

P.S., I won’t even go into my cassette collection hidden in my garage…

I'm with you. I have the big Bronco and was extremely irritated to find there is no audio aux plug nor CD player. I ordered a bluetooth discman off Amazon that would not connect to the Bronco BUT I got a bluetooth device that plugs into the 12v console plug (not sure location on sport) that's like the old school cigarette lighter plugs. The device reads through a preset radio station allowing you to play the discman on "the radio" FWIW I also have the B&O.

Thank you for your reply OrangeCrush. I was hoping I would be able to use a portable CD Player I had from back in the day. I believe it is a much higher quality than the ones that are available today sans the Bluetooth capability. I thought the Badlands had just about everything. No audio aux plug, like you mentioned, and only the SYNC 3. I'll make due. I Love my Bronco Sport Badlands. Thanks again.

Mini discs!!! They still work and they're still cool. My son likes to take mine and use it. Too bad Sony bought out the market and ruined them.

I've got both a minidisc walkman and a rack mount - loved minidisc! Between MD and the HD-DVD vs Blu Ray shitshow - I stopped wanting to be on the leading edge all the time.

HD-DVD was so superior but blu ray got the Disney contract which tends to win out. It's crazy watching split screen of the same movie on HD-DVD next to Blu ray how much better the HD DVDs look. But yeah the first version of any new technology is a gamble, the best doesn't always win out and there can also be alot of bugs and defects.

I a small blue tooth device that plugs into the 12 volt supply and plays through the FM radio like was described in an earlier post. It also has two USB A charging ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack for old players like yours without Bluetooth. I haven't tried in the Bronco, but works great in my Pinto!
