Hi, All! I’m in the process of outfitting my 2022 BSB for overlanding— sleeping inside the vehicle. Have a platform and 2 low-profile storage boxes for gear. Really want to utilize the space above the wheel wells/ rear window. Anyone aware of molle panels/ cubbies that are compatible with the BSB? Many thanks✌

Builtright has a kit for the rear seat backs and will probably have more in the future. If you find any window panels let me know!

Thanks, Rexen! Those seat back panels look great— but i’m planning on putting seats down with a mattress on top ( works great!)…. I’ve seen molle panels that fit over rear windows (e.g. for 4-runners) that are exactly what i’m looking for ( affording good storage without taking up sleeping space on the floor/ mattress area)…. Will definitely give a shout-out if i find something that will work with the BSB! Going to try and find someone in the San Diego are that may be able to do custom modifications..:❗️

Sweet, DR! I’m looking for a system that’s a tad more space efficient and will leave me space to sleep in the BSB without playing “ musical chairs” with gear at each camping site ✌❗️. Good looking box you chose for yourself

Hey Vangie - Because your plan is to sleep inside the vehicle, I recommend you use semi-rigid or (better yet) soft-sided/collapsible storage bags in order to maximize your storage volume. That way, when those storage bags/cubes are empty (for example, when you've eaten your way down through your dry foods), the bags can be folded up and stowed out of the way. That way, they won't continue to take up valuable space in your cargo area during a long travel. Two well-regarded leaders in soft-storage bags are:
  • Step 22 Gear (www.step22gear.com) The Stingray flat boxes come in a variety of sizes/volumes are have the most utility.
  • RedOxx (www.redoxx.com) Large variety of duffels and kit bags. The kit bags are particularly useful for your application. Made in Montana.
A new-kid-on-the-block but very popular is RUX (https://rux.life/). They include waterproof components (say, for waders, dive suits) and other useful options. Their 70L cube also comes with shoulder straps. Kind of pricey.

If you want to skew towards hard-sided storage containers then the traditional boxes by Zarges, Alu-Box, and Front Runner's Wolf boxes are historical favorites for overlanders around the world.

Thank you, Summit! Am grateful for you taking the time to share the above options…. Will research each…!! Really want to utilize the vertical space above the wheelwells to optimize floor space—so, thanks for offering resources!!✌

Just checked out the storage gear: great options for collapsible storage! My greatest problem is that i can’t find any aftermarket molle panels ( for storing bags over the wheelwell/ back windows) —similar to systems available for eg. The 4Runner…. Any thoughts on resources for the structural hardware?

Thanks again! Good resources for storage! Please keep an eye out for aftermarket molle panels that can provide alternative storage locations❗️

Quornee, this is EXACTLY what i’m trying to find! Current problem is that this panel is for the Big Bronco—and there’s nothing comparable fort the Bronco Sport Badlands…. Thanks for posting—and please keep me in mind if something pops up on your radar✌
