XPEL Screen Protector (12” Screen)

Just picked up my new Bronco a couple weeks ago. Noticed when the salesman took the film off of my infotainment screen that he scratched the upper right hand corner with his fingernail.

So, at that point I decided a screen protector was definitely needed. I looked thru the forums and saw XPEL was offering a precut screen protector. I decided to order it arrived pretty quickly.

Since I have never worked with XPEL and it didn’t arrive with any instructions I decided to have my local XPEL shop install it since they work with the stuff all the time. They told me it would take them 20 mins to do the install.

Well I am happy to say it turned out great. Took them 10 mins to install and you can’t even notice it’s there. With installation the entire screen protector cost $45.

It’s a wet install (that much I know from the installer). I always get frustrated with cell phone screen protectors so I knew I wanted the Bronco to be done by someone who knew what they were doing.

If you go on XPEL’s website they will direct you to a local installer if you change your mind.

Yes, no need to trim.

Clean the screen thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean microfiber cloth - twice! (Any dust, dirt or oil from your fingertips will be magnified under the film). Use a spray bottle with water and a couple of drops of dish soap. A few light squirts on the screen and sticky side of the film and then just lay the film in the screen. The soapy water will allow you to slide the film over the screen and reposition it easily. Once you have the edges lined up, just squeegee from the center outward. As the water leaves, the adhesive sticks. Use a microfiber cloth to dry up the edges as you go. Take it slow and you will have an awesome result!

Looks like Elkhart is your closest XPEL installer (see link below) - since you will be taking your Bronco that will cost about $7 in gas @ the best Warsaw price of $2.77 at Murphy's on Warsaw. I just paid $4.59 here!
$7 is about 20% of your price in gas not to include your drive time. Go to a dollar score and get a small flat pan scraper and I know you can do it your self.
On the other hand, any ride in a Bronc is a good one! Can't wait for you to get your horse. I am closing on 1k.

I bought the OCD plug screen protector for the 12" and it didn't fit very well. The size was not even close. Waste of my 35$.

I bet if you send them a pic they will refund your money or something close - can't cost them more than $2 to make - if they give you crap, send them a link to your picture on this website with some angry face emojis and a bad review! I ordered mine last night after reading this thread. I'll join a revolt for the consumer.

I don't go full Karen but I did tell them that the fitment was not the best hoping that is was just an error. I don't ask for replacements and will just not use them again. Now if they opt to make it right they have my info and I may reconsider where my money goes in the future if they make it right but I still don't request new product.

I dunno I'm sure many don't feel the same it's just how I roll.

Curious how/where you ordered the XPEL screen protector from? I've tried multiple times to do so from the xpel site, but their site is awful and requires you to create an account to place an order. I finally gave in and tried to do so, but it just freezes/spins when I try to create the account, so I can never checkout. Any help?
