Woodward: Survival Guide/Recommendations

Hello all!

We've received a rather high volume of inquiries on lodging and restaurant recommendations in anticipation of the Woodward Dream Cruise. Because of that, I figured I'd start a thread so we can leave a few of our recommendations and also allow others who maybe live or frequent the area or who have attended before to leave their recommendations! Also, if y'all wanna stay at the same hotels, you can coordinate that as well :) So consider this a crowd sourced WDC survival guide. The BN team will leave a few recs and are happy to answer questions about the area to the best of our abilities!

Could you please tell me the timing of the events.
Live outside of Chicago, may not be able to make it until mid morning Thursday?
Could you tell me what time the off road starts? Can we meet there?
The timing of the other events.

I did register for the Saturday 'Dream Cruise'- is there anything else that I need to reigster for?

A Bronco Nation Travel Guide! I love this. I wish I had a guide like this for all my destinations. More often than not, it's scary visiting places that are unfamiliar. It helps to benefit from the recommendations of others, especially if it relates to a specific event. 👍

Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

That was actually where I initially booked, until I read the reviews of cars being stolen out front and the staff having nothing to help with it (inside job)

Would recommend Duggan's Irish Pub for a restaurant idea. Has been present since the beginning of the Dream Cruise and is a favorite among locals and cruisers alike.

That's definitely a classic hangout spot!

What is required at Holly Oaks to do the drive? Are dogs permitted in the coral? Is a flag required at Holly Oaks?

I was reading the website for holly oaks. It says 10ft flag required for all vehicles. Now do we buy our own before the event? Bronco nation supplied? It will prob say in upcoming email if I had to guess.

We have a campsite reserved at Groveland campground. It is right across the street from Holly Oaks.

A Michigan ORV sticker and Dune-style flag are required for off-road driving at Holly Oaks. Those are not provided by Bronco Nation and must be purchased beforehand. Holly Power sports is close and sells both :)

Do you knowing they have the mounts for a bronco also? I’ve seen some online w mounting on Bumper or guides on hood

I think it is 10 feet from the ground. I thought I read that. I have never been there. I bought a flag I think the total poll is 6' 6" . It mounts at least four feet high on the truck. Therefore over ten feet high. Handy Flag, It folds up.
