Windshield Protection

I'd thought about trying it, but am going to give the Aeroskin II hood deflector a try first. A lot cheaper, and the dealer can install it so its covered under warranty.

I was looking at that too, but not sure how it will look.

I have been reading several threads were people are quoting that their windshields are getting hit by rocks on the road and cracking the windshield. Has any tried putting on a windshield protector like EXO shield (https://www.getexoshield.com/)? If you have any advise please post here.

When I try the link I just get this.

Edit- I got it to work you have to remove the stuff at the end.

Keep in mind, I had the hood protector on when I took a rock. As for looks, I didn't like it at first, but don't mind it so much. Definitely helps with the bugs.

My windshield is cracked and have been waiting on a replacement for a couple of weeks now.

Guess that makes 2 of us. 1st windshield came in, in about 10 days. But the shop rejected it because it had 2 scratches. I've been waiting on the 2nd one for a couple of weeks already. Luckily my crack is in the upper corner passenger side, doesn't bother me at all.

Keep in mind, I had the hood protector on when I took a rock. As for looks, I didn't like it at first, but don't mind it so much. Definitely helps with the bugs.

I'm debating on getting this. The windshield is a bug collector. Did a 2 hour road trip to a house we rented for the weekend. When we got there we had to use the cleaner at the gas station to clean the bugs off the windshield. When we got back home, we had to clean it again.

I took a stone hit below the drivers side wiper. I have an 8" crack coming up from the wiper.

Thank you for this. That makes up my mind thinking it would deflect rocks over the windshield.

I'm in the middle of farmville, USA...I'll take my chances with rocks if it deflects the bugs.

I was dragging my feet about getting one of these since I really don't like the look of it. After our first road trip with the Bronco, all the dang bugs pretty much made up my mind.
Ordered it when I got back and I'm installing it tonight. Figured it would help with the chips on the leading edge of the hood too.

That's why I got it.. had 3 chips within a couple of months of ownership. And that was just from highway driving.
