Window sticker keeps changing invoice date to dealer. Why? download date or billing date? Or is it simply the date the window sticker was printed?

Ford Marketing today stated to ask dealer what the last date on the extreme bottom of the window stickers is. Some report this date is the billing or invoice date to the dealer. Does anyone know what that last date is to the left of the blend date codes. My blend date was 2202 03 02 xxxx.

MY pizza has not been checked but 3/5/22 Built date is shown. Marketing says no holds and shipping date scheduled 3/31/22.

Since my window sticker say SPECIAL ORDER I have spoken to my Loan officer and sent her a copy of the requested Window Sticker 3/6/22: worksheet Purchase Agreement 3/16/21, Confirmation 10/16/21 due to red color and MY changes (10 code) two emails in production date 2/8/22: changed 2/28/22. Built date 3/5/22 and in tracking that dealer is arranging shipment. Estimated shipping date 3/31/22 recongirmed.

Window sticker now says todays date?

So in order to prevent the dealer from selling out under me my base or over the orally agreed MSRP($36,130 sticker price) here is what was done:

1.Applied for $25,000 new car auto loan and got pre approval good 60 days
2.Called my auto insurer and added BRONCO MY22 and removal of old SUV effective 3/31/22 estimated shipping date of SPECIAL GOODS.
3. sent above documents and an on line change in auto insurance policy

For those attorneys in this forum, I believe my reading of UCC regs are that even though the deal ordered my SPECIAL goods order and he may finance it with say Ford Credit- Dealers Services or a bank or other financial institution, the Manufactures Certificate of Origin ( initial titling document for new cars never registered) vehicle title is with the dealer at a FOB point in his dealers agreement with Ford, I have an insurable interest effective 3/31/2022.

Why? SPECIAL GOODS order 10/8/21 confirmation date, on 3/16/21 PO.

"Title" is a legal term, so they say, under your state laws, TITLE to a motor vehicle is general covered under different laws. Real estate, merchant goods, inventories vehicles, vessels, live stock, etc. both personal and real property laws vary in all states, so best to check with an attorney , if your dealer adds that "ADMINISTRATION FEE" on top of your Purchase agreement

GOOD LUCK and Go BIG GREEN! HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!

I’m pretty sure once you buy the vehicle then you can insure. I wouldn’t cancel your existing policy until the deal is done. And all of those things you have done are fine and dandy, but until the dealership gets it they don’t own it and until you purchase it you don’t own it. And until the deal is done, you can only cross your fingers and pray they honor the deal. Keep us apprised of what happens, when ever it is that it happens.

The dealer has to pay for my Bronco at the time it is shipped, place on rail car. Ford automatically uses bank draft documents, like a check and charges the dealers line of credit or " floor plan". Could be Ford Credit or bank. The bank or Ford had negotiated a line of credit for the dealer, and once Ford gets paid 1-5 days, Ford Credit has a unfiled lien, but uses vin as collateral for the monies paid to Ford upon shipment. This is generally called "floor plan" financing used for cars, trucks, farm equipment boats and rv.

Technically the dealer ownes the personal property, but like our home mortgages the bank has the underlying collateral, our homes. Sometimes Ford in 90 days on dealers lots will buy back slow moving cars at a discount. Some floor plans allow used cars to be financed at say 80%.

A dealer floor plan may also require his dealership buildings, land, equipment and personal guarantees by owners.

So a legal question can arise on what is call SPECIAL GOODS orders, which most reservation holders converted to orders may be known as an "insurable interest," before title is transferred by dealer to us. These are legal issues but the internet as well as insurance carriers can advise you on under" insurable interest". Better see your attorney.

Finally it is report by a Ford group, effective 4/1/22 Ford is changing incentives to dealers to move cars. $250 1-15 days receipt of car to sale, cash and in our Bronco case the dealer just made $250. move 8 in two week $2000.00.
Ford and GM wants to built cars to orders than let the cars or trucks sit in lots on Floor Plans!
