Wind Noise From Roof Rack?

I'll start off by saying that I received my wife's new two door Black Diamond. We are both crazy about it. It does make an extreme amount of wind noise from about 45mph and up. I'm thinking it is from the roof rack. Does anybody have experience with roof racks making noise? I've seen fairings made for this purpose but have not found one available for the Bronco yet. Thanks

I took mine off to check and yes, the noise is coming from the rack. Was easy to remove but then you gotta store it. hoping there will be a defector specifically for the factory rack.

I did the same. Problem is, I prefer use of the rack now and then. I agree a purpose built fairing would be awesome.

My Subaru had it and so does my Rav4, I took the cross bars off when not using and it helps a lot.

I’m liking the look without the rack right now and will probably leave it off till spring anyway. So much easier to push snow off the top with it off. Come April I’ll pop it back on time for surf fishing.

Question for those of you with roof racks - do they include the 2 covers for the header area above the windshield where it attaches so that you can put them on when you remove the roof rack? I would assume so but wanted to confirm.

They should be in the glove box when you get your Bronco.

I don't know if this will fit the Bronco rack but Thule customer service is good at helping out. I got this for a Thule rack and it cut the noise out completely.

Did you find that it comes off pretty easily? I'm planning to use mine, if I ever really get my Bronco, to carry my kayaks and, occasionally a cargo carrier when camping. Is the process easy enough to just throw it on when you need it and take it off afterwards?
