Well, they say everyone is a critic, so here goes...
Pros: I learned about the process of replacing the modular bumper with another while preserving the use of the factory park sensors and (arguably) the use of the adaptive cruise control. It is an all-day affair. Some procedures take longer than anticipated. I know what tools will be put to use. Mods can sometimes impact performance in unforeseen ways.
Cons: Get a cameraman! (Or woman... where'd the wife go?) I mean, if you're saving on the cost of parts (thank you, sponsors), at least get a friend to shoot the process. You can pay them with beer and/or pizza afterward! With all that jerky motion, I felt like I was watching the "Blair Witch Project." Motion sickness is a real thing! Edit with your audience in mind; while your videos are educational, stick to the meat and potatoes and omit the fluff (i.e. difficulty weighing components).
The humor and honest, candid remarks about the difficult aspects of performing this modification were very much appreciated. I have always enjoyed Chase's videos. He's done some incredible things and documented them beautifully. So, to his credit, he does bring value to my pending ownership experience. So thank you,
@Chase Gentry!
I'll let lawyers decide whether this video provokes litigious action. If he followed the manufacturer's instructions to the letter, I would think they're the ones who've got to worry about lawsuits. Then again, there's always the disclaimer... :geek:
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.
