I don't see the new Bronco ever reaching this new requirement no matter how much more Ford can lighten it up with plastic and aluminum. Makes me wonder what will happen.

Before 2026, we'll have an all new Republican President and Republican-dominated Congress.

It'll be trivial for that combination to pass a new law, overturning this nonsense before it has a chance to take effect.

Who ever complained can enjoy high gas prices and rampant inflation because it's your fault

to who ever censored my post how can we avoid these problems if people aren't made aware who is at fault and make the effort to avoid it

Those MPG numbers are usually for the entire fleet of a manufacturers cars, not individual models.

The new fuel mandate is an average across all vehicles. The electric, 4 cylinders and hybrid vehicles offset the less fuel efficient vehicles. Been that way for years. The Bronco and trucks don’t have to meet the 40 mpg requirements.

EVs should have a similar restriction on them based on where and how their energy is generated.with the highest penalty going to nukes because you can't clean up radiation while carbon can

Yea, it would be fleet average but Ford has dropped all car production so they only vehicles even close are their hybrids.
