Wildtrak - HOSS 3.0 vs Bilstein Sasquatch

Anyone have a direct comparison between the new Fox 2.5 Shocks on the new HOSS 3.0 Wildtraks to the Wildtrak that has the Bilstein Sasquatch shocks. Is there a huge difference in on road ride quality? I have 2021 Wildtrak that I love and 90% of my driving is on road, so I’m debating on if I should upgrade to a 2023 or newer to get the new fox shocks or should I just wait and maybe upgrade my shocks later on if there is a huge difference. Not too concerned with the tire rods and steering rack as I’m not doing heavy duty off roading.

Not really seen a good comparison yet.

This guy compares it to the Hoss 2.0 from stuff that he has driven (and reviewed before), but that's not quite the same deal. I would like to see a head to head to head comparison with a 2.0, 3.0 and Raptor, but haven't found one yet.

The TLDR version- it behaves differently than the 2.0 in that it is has a bit more lateral roll, but sucks up the bumps more too. Its a Raptor-lite setup (as it was designed to be).

I have a Sasquatch (Badlands) and have put 4600 miles on it in the 2 months I’ve had it. I had an opportunity this weekend to drive a Raptor with the Fox shocks. Holy cow. That thing rode amazingly on the road. Made me think about upgrading my shocks and springs to the HOSS 3.0 at some point

Ford Performance needs to release that set up ASAP.

We can't vouch for the Hoss 3.0 set up or the Raptor which Im sure is nice but our 4WP 2.5 monotube auto adjust coilovers drive wonderfully. Can hit deep dips in road at 50mph...butter smooth. I believe the 4WP set up is mfg by Walker Evans Racing for 4WP. Zero issues in 16 months. Highly recommend for the price but keep in mind the adjustable suspension lift they can provide + we also have other 4WP suspension components paired with em like 4WP upper control arms and 4WP rear track bar. King makes a nice coilover set too but their pretty pricy + you have to mount the resevoir. Regardless I'd keep your 2021 and upgrade suspension, tie rod etc. as you see fit.

My experience with the HOSS 3.0 set up has been that it handles extremely well and is very soft... a comparison I saw on youtube said that the Bilsteins were 'jumpier' (or jerkier) but I can't say for sure. All I know is the HOSS 3.0 system is great ON road. I've only done minor off road -- not enough to formulate a strong opinion yet. I DO think the rear sway bar makes a big difference and is something I would recommend. Unless you are wanting some other features from a '23 model, I don't know if there's much value to be gained in 'upgrading' to get HOSS 3.0, unless you can make money doing it.

my limited experience in driving the HOSS 3.0 in the Raptor (that's the same shock/spring setup in the Wildtrack HOSS 3.0, right)? is as you indicate - it's much softer, and soaks up the minor imperfections in the road MUCH nicer than the Sasquatch does. For comparison, I'm running my Sas tires at 33 PSI, the Raptor was running 35, and felt like I was driving a cloud on a road made of marshmallows.

Im not 100%, but the Raptor has LIVE VALVE SHOCKS, which is basically HOSS 4.0.... So there should be a huge difference.. the TRX and new FRaptor has LIVE VALVE as well.

Negative. Raptor is definitely a step up from the Wildtrak's HOSS 3.0. Mike beat me to the link lol.

Yep... The WT with HOSS 3.0 is kinda like a 'baby raptor'. Better than standard Sas, but not quite Raptor-level. That said, I believe (opinion) that the WT with HOSS 3.0 is the most 'capable' stock Bronco you can buy that is NOT a Raptor.

thanks for the correction on 3.0 vs 4.0... now I'm spoiled after having had the opportunity to take the Raptor for a quick spin - my Sasquatch felt like an unrefined Flintstones car after that LOL

I just picked up a 2 door Wildtrak (2.0) and asked local dealer about 3.0 parts...apparently they're not Bronco Nation members, off road enthusiasts or just not up to date. Maybe I should get some dirt on the wheels before asking, but anyone heard about availability for purchase separately?

Not sure if they are available yet but here are the part numbers.
I believe @RagnarKon looked into the pricing at one point.
