Why doesn't Ford advertise the new Bronco?

I figured it out; They don't need to. We do it for them. I am certain that my experience as an owner is the same experience you are having. I can't go anywhere, no exaggeration, I mean anywhere, on any day, in any weather where someone doesn't stop me and ask me about my Bronco, or acknowledge it in some way, almost universally with a thumbs up or a smile and wave.
Yesterday at the grocery store, between my parking spot and the entrance to the store, I was stopped 3 times by people admiring my Bronco. It took me 10 minutes to walk 150 feet. Not an exaggeration.
I once had a guy drive up next to me in a perfectly patinaed 1948 GMC Pickup truck. He was going crazy over my Bronco and I was stunned by his truck. Another day, I was driving behind a guy in a 1963 split window Corvette waved me over to the side of the road, stopped me to ask about my Bronco. It was a good thing because I was able to tell him that his brake lights weren't working and it would be a shame if his Vette got smashed.
Men, women, sports cars, luxury Euros, Jeeps, Old Broncos, classic cars, Mini Vans, it never ends. I thought by now that the curiosity would have worn off. It has only intensified. I, you, all of us are Ford's best advertisers, and we have paid them a princely sum to be in their employ.

No need, until they can build enough to satisfy demand…

they probably wish people would forget about them for a while - they can't build the ones people have been waiting on for a couple years!!

We do it for them on social media. I'm sure not being able to produce as many as normal that might be apart of it too. But Ford has counted a lot on social media for advertising.

They’re too behind in orders to launch a big national marketing campaign. It’s not stopping them from investing in smaller regional marketing activities, like King of the Hammers, Super Celebration, etc.

Why doesn't Ferrari or Lamborghini??

Biggest difference is the above 2 can produce the vehicles as ordered whereas FMC still have reservation holders without vehicles

I guess in my neck of the woods there are a lot more Broncos and since I got mine in November I am kinda late to the game. I was approached by a guy the first time I stopped to get gas, and I was ready for it as my Brother warned me about every time he goes anywhere he is stopped and asked about his. But that was the only time anyone has said anything about it.😒 Maybe I am really scary looking, but my wife drives the thing more than me and she said she never gets asked anything about it. Maybe everyone just thinks its a Jeep. 😄

The fundamental issue is that Ford as a corporation was not set up as a 'build-to-order' company the way that Ferrari, Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Bentley, RR, etc. is. They build inventory for lots that you go to and pick which one you like. As Henry Ford said, you can have any color you'd like as long as it's black.

Big facts.
I was at cars and coffee and these are obviously car people, and they didn't know the difference between the bronco and the bronco sport. People that are familiar with the car don't even know the top came off. They seem mine and they're like WHOAA I've never seen one like that I had no idea everything came apart! I'm like .. . . . that's pretty much the reason I bought it. I'm amazed at how little people know about this thing.

They built a strong reputation on have it your way with the Mustang and the Thunderbird. They produced them in numbers, its only been the last 30 years that Ford seems to not be able to do it.
The trade magazines don't go a month without an article on how automation in assembly lines can deliver exactly what is needed at a station, it is easier now than ever to build to order.

The number of build combinations, standard features, tech, etc has also gone up probably 30x in the last 30 years. So it's an unfair comparison to compare the 1990s to 2023. Bronco alone has 12 different interior seat choices. Let alone trim pieces, flooring options, doors, roofs, engines, wheels, 4 tire sizes, 4 suspension options, lockers, no lockers, sway bar, no sway bar, etc. Bronco is a manufacturing and build combo nightmare made even worse by the made-to-order system. If they had this much complexity and made-to-order system with F-series, they wouldn't be making 700k/year.

No excuse to not do it, the technology is there. The 150 has 7 trim levels 6 engine options and more individual options than the Bronco.
Its not that it can't be done, its that people without vision don't want to.

So true. Both my Bronco and older Shelby, outside of those I've never seen anything like it. If you stop anywhere you have to allow extra time to get where you're going. You can't even get gas without people approaching and talking about it.

While that may be true, advertising drives more sales and Ford can’t handle what they currently have. Then we would have even more disillusionment than is currently experienced…

Even after this long there really aren't a lot of Broncos on the road. My 2dr gets a lot of attention just because most people have the 4dr. I've been told by a lot of folks that they weren't aware it came in a 2dr.
