More info please. You swapped out the factory intercooler for the whipple one and improved fuel economy that much? Tune with it? Just trying to sort out how just an intercooler upgrade would improve the mpg like that.

Impressive. Any power gains? If mpg improves that much def upgrading...when out of warranty. You should also add the whipple vtop filter too. Its awesome. See pics

intercoolers dont void warranties, big turbos, tunes and internals do, plus theres all Moss Magsunon where they’d have to prove it did

I'm more than a little skeptical that you get a 46% increase in MPG by changing the intercooler designs.

13.5 mpg seems very low as well for these engines. I do almost all city driving and mine is hovering around 21 mpg

Yes its an instant void with the items you mention. But the fact that it is whipple brand will cause some dealers to void warranty based on its name alone. If a dealer can void a warranty for ANY reason...they will at least try. Its a fine line that mag moss doesn't always support.

We just prefer to wait until our bronco is either out of warranty or intercooler fails after warranty expires.

Mpg gains would certainly be nice on our 37s with heavy bumpers/winch. The upgrade is very tempting. But we gotta wait it out

I had full bolt ons and a tune with my old Ecoboost and all my Dealer did was tell me to unflash the car prior to taking her in. My old Ram was everything BUT internals, forced induction and a tune and they didn't blink an eye. Everyone's different and if your dealer's all "Mods=Void", find another one. Dealers a dealer, they're not a lover or family, so don't gotta be completely loyal.

Yes. We've worked with hundreds of dealerships and distributors over the years (as a wholesale supplier). Met my husband at my old dealership when I was a Ford service writer. If you find a good one keep it.

I'm getting about 19. 5 mpg on my Badlands Sasquatch overall while selected on "Eco." Around 21 mpg on extended highway if I keep it to 65-70 mph. So why bother messing with it? And at what oint does the gas saving--if valid--amortize the cost of the Whipple?
