Maverick looks better than the ranger. The ranger is and always will be the ugliest little truck on the market. Tacoma, Colorado, Maverick, Hyundai Santa Cruz all look better than the ranger lol. Nice rig my father in law ordered his in velocity blue. He's a ranger man and I had to convince him to look at the Maverick.

Nice looking truck. If i had one of those, id have to throw an olx 80xs slam to it with chopped roof and hydraulic shocks. Then builds a full box for some 15" woofers behind the seat....

Very nice!!!! The Maverick is tops on my girlfriend's want list. She is debating between this and the Bronco Sport. I'm pushing for the Maverick since I am trading my Gladiator in when my Bronco gets built. Will be nice to still have the utility of a truck bed when we need it.

The rear of the sport with the seats down probably has the same space as the bed on the mavrick.

We have guardianship of my granddaughter so we always need use of the rear seats. With a hard tonneau cover the bed would be like a big trunk. Great for our trips to North Carolina.

The sport will hold the resale better.

I really don't worry too much about resale value when buying a vehicle. So much changes so you can never really bank on anything.

The bronco sport looks like a Chinese knockoff of the land rover discovery. They should have left the bronco name off it. It's causes all sorts of confusion when you say you bought a bronco .. they go those are ugly and you have to correct them na it's a BIG bronco not the little one. Bad move by Ford imo

Actually, its ford progression of the original square body escape. IMO they did an awsome job with it. It allows light trail riding that will out do a discovery with good street performance. Its a badlands world we live in...

To each their own. I just don't like the bronco name being added to it. But I can respect your love for it. It does look better than the escape. Hopefully we are see the crossover SUV die out and will see more of these kind of land rover style SUVs.

I agree and I have zero issue with them putting the Bronco name on it. Ford is trying to create a brand with the Bronco. Not just a singular vehicle. The Sport is quite the capable off-roader. It will take you places most other SUVs in it's class won't.

I agree. The concept of a "crossover SUV" is just a ruse. Thiers no more "utility" with them tan a sadan. We definitely need to get back to a seperation in proper SUV and standard car description. My wife sold her Mini cooper that was her absolute favorite car to buy the sport. Now she says that thier tied for favorite because of thier different applications. But shes in love with it..

There , fixed it for you , LOL . I thought about a Maverick for a few seconds during the reveal but quickly realized it can not tow my tractor nor offer the creature comforts as the Ranger can . I don't really need a new mini-truck anyway as my 30 year old Ranger is still going strong for the light duty stuff around town . I purchased my 2020 Ranger a few months after Ford tricked me into selling my F-150 for no reason and have grown to love it . If my July 2020 res does not get here before the price protection runs out then this Ranger will be the last Ford I'll ever buy . As for looks , opinions vary .

Does that opinion even apply with the next gen Ranger??? IMO I think they hit it out of the park with the new one. Looks like a truck now. Not a car with a truck bed.

Fellas definitely an opinion. I just don't like rangers. The Colorado (I owned an 05). Was better looking by far. The new ones look better and the ranger just looks like a city person (pickup). Not for me. I wouldn't buy another small pickup after owning an f150. My choice. My father in law don't need to do anything other than go to the vets club 1nce a week for a swiss steak dinner. He isn't hauling anything but I guess wants to still look half ass manly so he sticks with the small pickups. If he wasn't a die hard ford guy I'd try to convince him to buy a Tacoma.. I'm not dissing on the ranger it's just not for me. Never liked the look of them. But the Maverick looks better than the new ranger

No need to defend your opinion. I was just curious if the same opinion applied for the next gen. I am not a fan of the current gen at all. The front clip looks too car like. And the non split rear folding bench seat barely folds down. Those two things kept me from buying one even though I thoroughly enjoyed it when I test drove one a few years ago.

To me, the Maverick should have BEEN the ranger. I'd love to have seen the Ranger be an 'F100', with perhaps a bit more retro styling throwing back to the bumpsides.
