It looks like there is some confusion about which transmission will be coming in the Bronco. The transmission code on the door stickers of Bronco demo units show a code of "T". On the 2020 Explorer, a T code indicates the 10R60 transmission. In the F-150, the 10R80 has a code designation of "G" and the Ranger has a code designation of "U".
Putting a 10R60 tranny in the Bronco is worrisome to me because the 10R60 transmission has a lower torque rating (442 lb/ft), barely more than what the 2.7 engine produces (415 lb/ft on premium fuel). I will be towing with my Bronco and need to know if we will be receiving the more durable 10R80 transmission.
Does anyone know of a way to confirm which auto transmission will be installed? I have talked to my dealer and also called Ford Marketing and no one knows for sure.
