Wheel offsets

There have been a few threads discussing wheel options. It appears the Badlands wheels are to be a +55 and the Sasquatch wheels are to be a +30 offset. We’ve also seen the overland concept build that had 35” tires, no squatch lift, and 0 offset wheels and I believe I’ve seen a few comments on potential rub issues with that setup. My question is this - given what we know about the Bronco suspension and Sasquatch adjustments to that suspension, what are the concerns with lowering the offset of the wheels? Is there more stress or strain on the arms, joints, etc. the more you push the tire/wheel out? Wht are the limits or your experiences here with similar vehicles? If you run a 0 offset or less with this setup does it break super early, or does it just shave some time off the lifespan? Is it on for street running but maybe not for off-roading?

I currently run hub centric wheels with a -12mm offset and 1" wider than stock which had +15mm offset. Nets around 1.5" further out each side.
Replaced wheel hubs/bearings at 130k which failed due to water intrusion/rust which is most common. So the offset definitely adds to bearing stress, but water is far more likely to kill your bearings. Really, 130K, how long can hubs last on a trail rig?

Bigger issued is hub centric wheels, you want them, factory knows this and racers know it. Only wheel salesman don't care. If you wheel a lot it is easy to bend studs on lug centric set ups, no amount of balancing will remove the wobble.

Thanks for the insight on hub vs lug centricity. In my experience, I’ve had to replace hubs or bearings in almost all the cars I’ve owned near the 130-150k mile range anyway - and they were all street SUVs with stock wheels.

Seems to be a pretty common practice to run spacers on off road vehicles. I’m running 2015 wheels on my 04 F250 with 2” spacers and so far so good. Been about a year and a half. So I don’t think getting a different off set on the wheels that get you about an 1” or 1.5” shouldn’t be too much. But I do agree the Hub centric wheels is the way to go, but remember different manufacturers use different wheels I know my Chevy suburban and cobalt both have lug centric wheels but my past few Ford have all had hub centric wheels. You can tell by the lug nuts if they are tapered they a lug centric if they are flat it’s probably hub centric.

Subbing, since while I've done rims on my Audi, it was more a steal of a deal ($400 for Enkei's after being cleaned up) or replacing said Enkei's after 5+yrs of driving in the tristate (All 5 boroughs)

This time around, wanna get the rims I want, so gonna wait and observe to see what'll work, as this is what I would have asked if it weren't already up
