Wheel offset question?

I have a Badlands SAS package ordered and am going to put a set of Black Rhino Armory Wheels on it. From my limited research it looks as if the 17 inch Sasquatch wheels have a 30mm offset. I want my aftermarket wheel to be as close to to the stock as possible. The SAS wheel is 8.5 wide and the Black Rhino is 9.5. With the Black Rhino I have the option of -18mm offset or +6mm. I don't mind a little wider stance, but I also don't want to throw rocks all over my doors and door handles. So if I have this correct in my head, the 6mm offset will give me just a slight bit wider stance and would be my best option as far as sticking close to SAS OEM. Not -18. Please any thoughts and knowledge is appreciated.

If you’ve selected that particular wheel, and the only options are +6 or -18, then yes go with the +6 to minimize poke between the two options. However, if you’re open to other wheel options, there are plenty out there with more positive offset. +18 is pretty popular. Discount Tire, Tire Rack, and similar web pages allow you to sort wheels by offset so you can sift through the options.

It seems that even the +6 are going to make my tires stick out a bit further. How much further do you think? And yes, I really like these wheels. Have liked them for a long time and I hope they will work. Thanks!

The stock Squatch wheel has 5.93" of backspacing and the Black Rhino +6 will have 5.49" of backspacing. So this would give you almost .5" more clearance on the inside but it would giving you 1.41" more poke calculated from the edge of the rim.

Thanks! I can live with that. I hate to have anymore width but 1.41" will probably give it a more rugged look without effecting anything too much. I will probably put some sort of ppf on the doors to protect it. Thanks for the help!

Wow thanks! According to this tool, the tire will only stick out 24mm more. That is .94 of an inch. I think that will be the ticket.

I’m pretty sure you realize and considering this is an old thread that .94 is incorrect. The Black 🦏 Rhino’s are 1” wider. So .94 + .5=1.44”
