What options do you want available regardless of package or trim?

So Ford has given us bunches of trims and bunches of packages (scientific terminology), surprisingly some very desirable options are not available without packages, and then those packages remove other desired options. Others give options that aren't wanted but are required to get the options you want so you have to get them. So I ask you Bronco Nation, what are options you would like to be able to get outside of packages or specific trims?

I will start:
  • Marine Grade Vinyl - seating material should not be trim and option dependent. I would argue this should be the standard instead of cloth.
  • 360-degree Camera - This is a great option that makes tight trail work, and parking in tight spaces so much simpler
  • 12" Screen - This being as a standalone option or a possible dealer installed accessory would be great!
  • Sway bar disconnect - Getting sway disconnect without the Sasquatch package would be such a benefit. Especially given how expensive the Sasquatch has become for base models. People who want to mod out their lower trim levels without having to upgrade parts they are going to have to sell or just scrap would be awesome.
  • Lockers - Being able to get lockers without the Sasquatch and low gearing would also be awesome for the same reason as above, and for those of us who DD our Broncos but want to be able to run a more street friendly tire and then swap for a more aggressive off-road tire. (I understand to keep piece count down that the lockers gear range would be limited as the Spicer carrier for the 4.70 can not be used with the 3.73 gearing. Maybe offer the 3.92 gears as an option.)
  • Cup holders in the back. Really? A vehicle in 2021+ that cup holders are a trim based option?!?!? Come on.

FEATURE IDEA: Allow people to input tire size in and change the speedometer settings. This would be great if you want to run a mild 32" tire as a DD but go off-roading on more aggressive larger tires. You are free to use this idea for the fee of One New Bronco with the option installed. :). Happy trails!

Overall I think Ford did a good job. Three things for me:
  • I think compatibility with the FordPass Performance App should be standard and not locked behind the Mid package.
  • Front lockers should have been an available upgrade on the Black Diamond trim--even without the Sasquatch package.
  • As @NurseDan said... a cold weather pack that comes with block heater, heated steering wheel, heated seats, and 3PMSF-rated tires (BFG KO2, for example). Maybe even some additional cabin insulation.
Edit--
I personally disagree with how some of the packages are structured... but that's a very opinionated topic and I know people will disagree with me. For example, the 360-camera should be a Lux feature, not a High feature. And the smart charging USB ports should be a Mid feature, not a Lux feature. And B&O should be a High feature and not a Lux feature, etc. etc. But that ultimately comes down to what you care about. I know tons of people would balk at the idea of locking the 360-cameras behind the Lux package, whereas I could personally care less about the cameras.

Oh yeah, the Bronco is a killer vehicle. No doubt Ford did a good job. And all of this is opinion based, but then again, so is buying a Bronco. ;)

  • Advance 4x4
  • Heated seats, steering wheel and remote start in a cold weather package
  • Technology package with B&O, 12" screen, 360° camera, nav and wireless charger
  • Washout interior and MGV should be an option on all trims
  • Signature lighting option on all models that it doesn't come standard on
  • Painted fender option on all trim levels
  • Quit being so damn cheap Ford and put the USB port on the dash on all models. It probably costs pennies

Excluding my power train wish list:

If I could order each option, I would have ordered a 2 dr Black Diamond (skid plates, capable bumper with fog lights, MGV seats and rubber floors) added lockers front and rear, non SAS, no sway bar disconnect (save weight & complexity for my use), 4.46 gears, 33" KO2's and roof rack. I also would have gotten heated seats 12" screen, 360 camera , garage door opener, Towing Pkg and charging pad.

Ford marketing won the battle because I actually ordered a 2 dr Badlands, High Pkg, roof rack, without SAS and Tow Pkg. After all that, I am still missing the garage door opener and charging pad.

I just need to remember that it isn't like ordering at a certain burger monarch's restaurant and having it my way!

From the beginning I have said they should be selling two bronco, or really 3 now. Sasquatch Equipped and Non-Sasquatched Equipped and now the Raptor.
Non-sasquatched equipped should just be directed over to buying a Sport, or packages with retro styling, like nice steel wheels and cool retro grille upgrades.

Tying colorways to trims is silly and obviously leads to problems in manufacturing.

You can have basic Sasquatch as it is current composed, but it would make more sense to have an off road capable vehicle come with bash plates and steel bumpers.
Then you can have two or three offroad packages that upgrade the sasquatch bronco adding features, like the antisway/stabilizer bar disconnect, improved suspension components, like tie rods and ucas, etc.,
Heavier duty steering rack. You can have a package that is truly 37" tire ready to go.

The standard, mid, high and lux packages are OK, but Luxury should actually be luxury and leather should be part of the lux package.

They need to improve the HVAC system, fix so many aspects in the interior, ventilated seats.

I really miss the “old days” of stand alone options!! Why do have to pay $5k just to get blind spot mirrors Or a tow package??!! got to move up to $10k to get full bash plates, sway bar disconnect or adaptive cruise??!! That is just crazy! Ford could have made some more money on me but I will live without and spent the dollars in the aftermarket for things I do need...

Cup holders in the rear is the only thing I believe should be standard. At least offer mid, high and lux on every trim.

Lots of great suggestions here but isn’t the real pink elephant - what manufacturer launches a new vehicle with 7 different trim levels? Each with multiple options?

The more “efficient” way would have been 2 or 3 models (as suggested above) with sensible packages such as an Off Road Pack, Cold weather pack, Luxury pack, Lighting package and then a few standalone options including Dual Top (hard and soft) that I initially ordered in Jan 2021 but was quickly nixed by Ford.

Ford was really shooting for the stars with the new Bronco and the confluence of global events in 2020 really messed with their mojo, hurt their brand & neutered the Bronco a bit too.
