What is this 'button' on the top dash?

I can't find the answer in the manual, google, google lens, youtube...could someone tell me what this cover is in the center of the dash? Is it just a screw cover? A sensor of some sort? Thank you for your help.

Ambient light sensor.

Used to automatically turn on/off the headlights. If you have your headlight switch set to Auto and you cover that sensor, your headlights will turn on after a few seconds.
