Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Installed the Hammer Built tail gate reinforcement: Relatively easy install. Although the unit came with no instructions, used blue Loctite on the fasteners as the factory bolts all had it, and with no bolt torque values, used the good old 'universal' torque spec of GNT (good and tight), though not gorilla tight.
One surprise tho, I was quite surprised to find that the spare tire mounting piece is PLASTIC and not stamped steel. Gotta wonder about long term durability of that.

We have only had it for 2 weeks now (it's my wife's driver) so when I got home from work I cleaned it like I do every day then took it out for a ride. Checked the cows, and did a quick trail ridePXL_20220722_012330233.NIGHT~2.jpgPXL_20220728_001026847.jpgPXL_20220728_003912627.NIGHT.jpg

So I installed the Rough Country Hidden Winch Mount with the 9500 Winch.

Overall, it was a pretty easy install, but I have a couple things to point out that weren’t in other videos, or clear in the instructions.

1. The Differential Mount didn’t seem like it needed ground flush (modular bumper install).

2. The Winch Plate/Bracket is now 3 pieces. Rear of the plate has holes on the main middle piece, this is the back. The side pieces mount t with the holes on top towards the front. The pictures show a one piece design and are black and white.

3. The bolts to hold this side piece in, install them from the bottom up. They will be exposed under the skid plate. Ultimately they will be shredded on rocks if facing down.

4. Don’t be surprised if you have hardware/brackets left over. I did, I do not see them in the instructions and do not see them in any install videos I watched.

Overall, I am happy with the install, it looks clean and it is functional. I would rather have the winch and never need it, than need a winch and never have it. I am happy with the price point, the hidden aspect of it, and how I don’t have anything blocking my camera.

Day 4 as a Bronco owner.

I installed a Flowmaster Flow FX axle back exhaust system this afternoon.

Video with exhaust sounds is available here:

Installed Bestop Bimini… paracord handles … 12” screen protector… & hood deflector! (I’m gonna go broke… only had this Bronco Badlands for two weeks LOL)..
How do you like the Bestop Bimini? I was thinking about getting one to block out some of that hot summer sun...

Ford seems to be going the way of Disney and Hollywood. Make shit the way you want it, not want the customer wants. Just sayin.

You might right but we just got out 2 door Sasquatch and truly love it. We can find flaws with everything in life. I will say our wait was not to bad but was well worth it.

I'm happy for ya, I've had mine for a year and love it. My comment is more toward Fords move towards EV's, when they should be focused on satisfying their customers orders vs trying to position themselves to supply an as of now limited market segment.

I totally agree. We use Super Duties for work and can not just pick one up at the dealer anymore without ordering one that takes months. Accidents happen sometimes and you need a new truck the next day and that's not possible with Ford. If the end of year looks good for the business and we need a tax write off it is not possible to go get one in December. I am die hard Ford but in these circumstances I will have to go to another manufacturer.

I wonders about the shift in orders vs in stock. It was explained by Ford dealer this way. It costs the dealer vast sums of taxes to maintain a large inventory.if they order them as customer requests them, it saves them money but I stead of passing savings to customer they pocket the difference as profit. They couldn't care less how long you have to wait. And as far as the bronco is concerned, if people cancel their order, the dealer can add markup and still move them quickly before inventory tax time. In my work in the tire industry, I had to throwaway millions in spare parts before tax time, because it was more cost effective. Crazy

What is this thread about again? I thought it was a showcase for what people were doing with their Broncos. It seems more like a pity party dumping ground lately. Sheesh!

I installed JCR Off-road pinch weld covers. Today is day 2 as a Bronco owner.

I did a before and after video on our cruise / travel vlog channel on YouTube. I added a Bronco playlist to our channel today. I plan to chronicle all of our mods and overland trips.

Did you have to remove your running boards to install the covers? BTW looks great!
