looking at Beegrow brand at 71.99-amazon as they bolt directly to the frame parts--many say other brands (Iag and mabett) are rubbing the tire sometimes--so if any one has had luck with decent fitting mud flaps--let me know your experience and brand name and cost and where to buy them

There are plenty of threads on mudflaps on this, and the other site (bronco6g). Some of us who have been around are a little weary of it. Mudflap choice depends on whether you do serious, moderate, of no off-roading. If the first two, you need mudflaps that are at least pretty flexible, or can be removed. I go for aggressive off-roading and rock climbing, and have the RokBlokz, very happy with them. If you expect to be on pavement or just unpaved, rigid will do fine.

Mabbet and iAG are the same, do not rub, and are fine for pavement and graded dirt roads. People who have rubbing issues may have mounted them improperly. I liked them--until I did serious trails.

Word of wisdom: cheap is expensive. And do a search on these things. Lots of people's experience and advice is right there for you. Especially on tires.

Yeah, Mr BostonBadland's right. We're doing Colorado's mtn trails and RokBlokz are spendy , but very effective.

These probably won’t protect as much but they certainly win the style award. It really depends on your priorities. Front guards are really all you need. $50.

Gatorback are the best. No drill install, they have ones to fit with rock rails. If you are into rocks and stuff you can quickly remove the lower section without tools on the trail. Yep they are expensive, yep they are heavy duty, yep they take a beating, nope I'm not a factory rep. I'm just a guy that installed them and they work like a champ. You spent a boat load on the truck, don't go cheap on the flaps. My 2¢.

One last thing, they don't sail going down the road. One more thing, they are made in Canada, not China. Mabbet are direct from China.

I have the Gatorbacks on the front only....I agree with all the above. Money well spent!

we have been checking out Gatorback but we changed out the rock rail for the hoop step. Think we can still use the gather back with rock rail cause the bar is roughly the same. Could be wrong but looking for other that has thoughts or has done with with the hoop step

If I understand your comment above you don't need the hole in the gatorback for hoop steps. I have the hoop steps, they do not extend into the wheel well.

Do it right Buy four mudflaps. Four. (4)
Give some consideration to the wash you throw on drivers behind you, especially on a highway with sloppy weather. Stray rocks and debris, too.
Besides, mudflaps on the front only doesn't look right. Unbalanced, sort of.

I wasn’t sure if we would need the ones with or without. Definitely didn’t wanna buy if they didn’t go with the hoop step. Thanks for the info!

I purchased my flaps from SharpTruck out of Fargo, ND. The part numbers were
TH-GCN406F1-BK - Front
TH-GCN406R-BK - Rear

Please verify the numbers as they could have changed. At the time I ordered from SharpTruck they had the best price. They also had a deal if you took pics of the flaps installed on your truck you got a free T-Shirt. Remember this was 18 months ago.

I purchased and installed the Weathertech mudflaps. They fit well with Ford running boards.

I bought the OEM non-sas/non rockrail flaps for $75, did some dremel tool exercise on them and made them fit. They look really good and work great.

I did the rokblokz on my sasquatch with oe rock rails day one. Very satisfied. Took them off on moab trails and right back on when airing up to hit the road.
I use the gaterback on my dually. Awesome product. When I got my new truck there was never a question of a different brand.
