Water leaking from my doors? I am alarmed! Help! This can't be normal?

So,

My Bronco is 90 percent garaged, but sometimes I get lazy and leave it outside overnight. Anyways, on Easter morning, we decide to take a drive up to Bear Mountian Tower since it just opened and what a better scenario to take the Bronco, right? We both get in and my wife says, "Um, Hey Hon! Not to alarm you but look here" and I spy that the bottom front of her door is pissing water like a drunk sailor after a long night of boozing.

I quickly comforted myself, but taking a close look and say to my wife, "Those are weeping holes, it is obviously supposed to do that" only to then quickly open my door to watch the same thing happen, and I don't mean like 2 seconds of stream, I mean like 20 seconds of streaming water... similar to a weak prostate stream (trust me, at 51, I know all too well!).

So... Please, number 1, someone tell me this is normal? Second. If it is normal, that is a big flaw from Ford. If you look at the rubber at the very front of the window (up-top), you can see that there is a 3/8 gap where no rubber covers the end joint as the frameless window approaches the front of the cab frame.

The second issue to add to all of this is whenever it rains, I get water down my back window but inside the truck. Thing is, when I lift up the back window, the rubber in the back, up high, falls down. I have pushed it up several times but I am thinking I should take it back to Ford and have them use some of their official Ford BS sealer. Of course, I am sure normal silicone clear all-purpose chalk would prop work better?

Thoughts and comments?

Normal. Door seal is new and tight fitting against the weep hole. I had the same problem on my F150 Crew Cab, doors would hold water after a rain. Dealer looked at it and told me it was from a tight seal they told me to open up the weep hole with a small flat screwdriver. I did and have not had a problem since.
Window seals are not water tight so rain leaks past them and into the door.

Thanks, WD.

I talked to my uncle today and he has an 04, F2-Fidy. I told him about the door and he shared a story about how a few years back he noticed that his door on the driver's side felt a little odd after an all-night rainstorm (a bad one, at that). So, the next day in the shop, he gets under it and pulls one of the rubber plugs on the bottom of the door only to find about a half-gallon of water came out! Must be a ford rubber thing in general?

I don't think this is normal, nor should it be. My soft top BD is outside every day in the rain here in western Washington. I haven't had any leakage into the interior along the doors, back window, or anywhere else. I would get your vehicle to the dealer and make a stink about it. It shouldn't be doing that IMO.

I have an ‘04 F250 and it lives outside it went through an 8” in 45 minute rainstorm and never a drop of water in the door.
A little water could get in but it should be more like moisture than water.

I've also noticed alot of water coming out of the door after heavy and long periods of rain. Next time I get a storm like that I'll video it.

every vehicle I have owned as weep holes. On my truck and my wifes car, the Oak tree frizzies plug them up and I have to get a screw driver to unplug them.
Look at your door-to-window seal...thats where it gets in.

Good morning! I would be happy to look into your Bronco's leakage concerns on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message with the name/location of your purchasing Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?

Yeah, I think it is a common issue. Def not saying I think it is okay, but I studied the door the other day yesterday after posting and there are weep holes about every 6 to 8 inches on teh bottoms of both doors (2 Door).

The one thing that makes me feel a little better (and not much to be honest) is that they are aluminum, just like the rockers. I am def, once I get over COVID (yes, yet another gift I just got over Easter Break), I am going to go out there and coat the inner doors with preserve spray. Man! I used the spray a buddy on here recommended (sorry can't remember who) and that Sh$%t works awesome! I coated everything and even rubbed it all in for like an hour under the truck. I was so pissed to see videos and pic of folks with their pumpkins, driveshafts, and other things a week or two old and rusting badly; so, with this, I went out and ordered 80 bucks worth of FLUID FILM (not cheap - but def teh best product out there!) Anyway, look up the videos on FLUID FILM. Stuff is badarse! Soon as I feel better and go back to work, I will spray the hell out of the lower inner doors. Already did the rockers.

Normal, make sure your weeps holes aren't clogged with crap or like said above, blocked by the seal. My Tahoe at work was parked in a rain storm last year, and I could hear water sloshing around inside the door next day. There was at least a gallon of water in the driver's door.

Funny now that I looked this issue up online, it seems to be pretty common. That's gotta do wonders years down the road, having all that damp water flushing about through steamy summer and cold winter weather. Christ, sick or not, it is making me want to go out there and nuke the inner doors with the Fluid Film no matter how bad I feel.

What I am really worried about now are the electronics and the motors and lock mechs as well.

Trust me, this thing is a Mall crawler. I used to be ashamed to say it, but it has, instead, become the family vacation truckster. In Six months I have 3100 miles on it and all have been (at least 90 percent) family trips to Wolf Lodge, Kalahari, Kartrite, and Bear Mountain/West Point. When we go out, we go out in fun vogue (Ha)! It has def seen more hand-rubbed wax than mud or even rain. So my weep holes are crystal clear (sounds odd and sexy?), but thanks to all for recommending to check them out.

Exactly why my '69 had rust and rusted out weep holes lol. If these doors weren't aluminum I would probably be spraying them down.

I did have issues with my '16 F150 of the door latch mechanism freezing up. I don't know if it was from water running through the door freezing up the mechanism or I read something about condensation forming something to do with the aluminum doors and the mechanism.

Rest up, drink lots of Pedialyte. I’ve had it twice, first time was January of ‘20 , got both jabs and got Omicron in February of this year. The first time around was ruff, the second was like a mild cold.
