GMC's US.-built Bronco fighter will bring back classic Jimmy design

The talk of a more door is redundant as they already have a suburban. No mention of a manual transmission but a V-8 will put a hurtin on the competition.

Overall this is good news as it will keep their competition honest. the head long rush toward pushing what are supposed to be utility vehicles toward luxury barges is disgusting.

By the time it gets to market, the Bronco revival will be long over.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, as they say.

Problem: this does bring more people into the trails and backroads. Every ad, except for maybe Prius, has to have the drone shot of the vehicle driving "Baja" across a (carefully prepared, closed) desert landscape course, then coming to a donut-stop in dirt and gravel, to purport that it has "off-road chops."

Since GMC and Chevy are related companies. And they are building this based on the Canyon/Colorado platform I hope they bring back the K2 Blazer. Even though there is talk of a V8, I know this will shock people, but I would take one with the 2.7L 4 cylinder please.

Funny story: I took my Bronco to a family get-together in Michigan back in 2024. My brother, a long time fan and owner of many Chevrolet vehicles, took a walk around the Bronco, turned to me and asked "So, why did you buy a Ford?" I simply responded with "Because they make the Bronco." (We've pretty much been a GM family as far back as I can remember.)

If this news of a new Blazer/Jimmy actually pans out, and he finds out, I can only imagine what's coming, lol.

I don't know why they are calling the old a K2 it was a K5
The offroad crowd I used to wheel with had a variety of of vehicles , Jeeps,Land Crusiers (F40) K5s Broncos etc.
I see this as a good thing. Its not going to change the amout of people in the woods here. You don't see new Broncos off road here, they aren't bought by offroaders.Maybe out west you might see a change but not here in West Port wannabe land.
Had a guy that worked for me, his K5 had a lift kit big tires gears etc Was a mile in the air and little big for the woods but was fun. He'd come to work with it Mondays the only part not covered in mud was where the wipers cleaned the mud off the windshield.
