It was my understanding that auto company always kept the 1st of any new line for history purposes.

That's awesome! What's the story of it being at Jeff's?

The owner of Gateway Broncos brought that and a Shelby bronco! I got a ride in the Shelby. It was amazing haha. But the owner of Gateway Broncos had it, had heard about Jeff wanted to meet him so brought both Broncos and made an afternoon out of it. He was in Michigan for something. He was so nice!

That’s an awesome happenstance, @Alydo9! I’m glad you had the presence of mind to capture those images. I would’ve been just tripping. 🤓

That is really cool! Did the script across the nose of the hood say, “Cross Country “?

I noticed that as well. And “SPORT” in the fender badges. 😎

Thanks Laura. I just realized how we can get a V8 in the Broncos....GET RID OF ALL THE EMISSION JUNK...did ya see all of the room in the pic with the hood up, it has a 289 V8, which if I remember correctly was a very strong engine for Ford.

So let's see -- you've driven the Bronco DR, rode in a Shelby, own Mya's Bronco --- what are your other great adventures with these vehicles? 😂

She's roomy! With the other engine swaps people have done, price is the biggest negative, but like portals, maybe with options, the cost can come down.

A VERY string engine indeed! It was in a lot of early Mustangs as well...

Right? I don't know if you saw this article when searching:

The check used to buy it in 1978:

I did read where Yakubanski paid Shelby Inc. $100 for the Bronco but did not see that actual text of "He won't reveal..." Inquiring minds want to know! In 2016 I still bet it wasn't a fortune. The $100 in 1978 was the steal of the century no doubt!

Assuming that account at First National Bank is long dead... 😂 😂 😂

Were just over here trying to have the best adventures ok hahaha.

And Honestly that conversation never game up of how much he paid. I know how much he was trying to sell it for haha.
