Haha I hear you. FWIW, I called Ford with the order code and sales code, and they were able to confirm the order is real and exists in their system. From everything I've read over the past couple of years, even that warrants cautious optimism.

The other side of the coin is you might get it in few months and much sooner then some waiting 3 years. The fulfillment seems to be decided by where darts land on a dart board.

Decided to register and say hello now that I... somehow... have an order in the system. My dealer rep has had my build specs on his desk for several months now, and says he's been trying to put it in every week or two. Got a call from him today all excited to tell me that it unexpectedly succeeded this time - which was a bit of a shock to both of us, as neither of us thought the order banks would be open anytime soon. Perhaps it was a fluke? At any rate, I got the official confirmation email from Ford so I guess it's for real.

Somebody at Ford must have been noticing that you were always knocking on their windows at MAP, and they had enough of the constant tap, tap, tap, so they said "Get this fella his Bronco before he breaks the window and we have more delays in getting these things out......🤣
In all seriousness that is some great news, you'll have a great time hanging around several Threads, some funny, and most in a way that will be beneficial to you in learning everything you need to know about these amazing vehicles.

Been reading this, which surprised me when I got the email today.

Congratulations on beating the odds, @Stick in the Mud! Perhaps they're beta testing some software that lets some dealers enter orders into the system. Maybe it's a trial run to see how things will go once the order banks officially open. Anybody's guess. In any event, I hope your wait is endurable. Getting acknowledgment from Ford proper is definitely a good sign!

It's likely the dealer had some stock unit allocations available to order and they were able to customize it to match your order and earmark for you. It will be interesting to see if the window sticker is "special order" green or "dealer stock" blue.

Exact same thing happened to me yesterday, got a text from my dealer say that he was able to place my order with Ford that he had been trying to submit for me since September 23. Very excited!!
